Dumbest thing that you've done in Guild Wars

Dumbest thing I've done was when I was new, in Pre-Searing, I didn't know black dye was much and found some while I was killing Scales with my Warrior. I applied it to a Armour: 6 shield Needless to say I was very angry when I found it was 7k at the time.

I got a black dye on my first char in pre, but I knew what it was worth. What I DIDN'T know was sometimes the merchant's sell button lags. Yup, sold it for 1g.

My "noob-on-a mission" moment was the part where you have to let 2 monsters(centaurs?) talk to each other before killing them. The leader drew a big line on the map and said "WAIT". Everyone ok'd and while they were talking I noticed I was running up to them. I had accidentally hit the attack button. The good part was I apoligized and nobody blew up at me. The leader just said "Oh well, let's start over." I figured I'd get kicked, but they kept me. We did it again perfectly.

My most embarrasing time was helping a friend power-level outside Drok's with my wammo. I was bragging about never dying while fighting 12 cave trolls and then we got to them. My health bar went straight down. Tried again and same thing. I forgot to re-adjust and had zero points in healing.

lol ive brought my main character to the deep with no weapon and no attribute points assigned , i also went deep wearing my dragons mask forgetting that my bloody ele head thingy gives my fire magic +4 XD

All you had to do was to mouse over where your attribute points are and it will say you have 200 of 200 possible attribute points.....or something like that.

I customized my Brohn's Staff on my monk... I NEVER play healing :s I have no idea what compelled me to do that...

You deal +20% extra dmg, man! You can spike now!

I sold my 15k platemail gauntlets to merch by accident

I sold entire 15k glads set to merchant to get extra money for 15k platemail.

It was stupid now that I realize it but I never knew tengu farming would get nerfed.

I tried to help someone who really didnt want to be helped (was called noob and stfu.... ) yep, wont be helping others out unless they ask for it. learned my lesson!


most embarassing moment was trying to use my ele who had all the points in fire as an air spiker......wanded lots of things that mission!

I've gone into UW with stats set in monks attribs for farming (as an illu mesmer, in a group of 8 back when those still existed).

The sad thing is nobody noticed anyway, amidst the eles.

Speaking of UW, I took Unwanted Guests once.

I double-clicked on superior vigor to use it on my armor. Too bad I had the merchant window open at the same time because the game apparently decided that I wanted to sell it...

Salvage instead of identify...all the time. It's not a huge loss any given time, but it adds up quickly to cost at least 100k easily

I was just out farming totem axes when I went to go eat. Running a straight warrior build, I parked somewhere and set my status to away. And forgot to change my weapon set to anything but the vampiric axe. I immediately thought of this thread and decided to share, when I returned to 60% DP.

I was showing some new guy the weapons i was selling, all of them added up to about 300k or so and he put in like 1g, cuz he was just being a pain, so instead of hitting cancel i hit accept...... Lost all of that and my dignity.. good times.. good times

when the new guild services came out acidently double cilciked on one of the 50k ones lol that was pretty stupid

I deleted a PvP character that had 250 Flames of Balthazar on him.

This happened to a guildie of mine when he was being run down to Droknar's from Beacon's. The runner told the group that he was going to zone outside, and eveyone should show they have their gold already on them. Well, one guy had the bright idea to show his gold by dropping 100K in the snow ... just as the runner zoned back into Beacon's Perch.

The guy didn't stop cursing in all caps for five minutes.

That was really dumb, I give you that. o___o Imagine it was a stack of ecto...

Not too long ago, I had a warrior with 15k armor and some other valuable stuff on him. I was planning on deleting him in a little bit because I had had him for almost a year. So I quickly log in on him to check if I got a minipet yet only to find that I deleted him instead of logging in... Yeah.
