Where is the warrior dude??

Hello everyone

This might be a stupid question but have u ever wonder where is the warrior dude(not devona) shown in posters/when we choose our profs etc etc?...guildwars also had a trailer with only him in it but where/who the heck is he??

we could speculate as to who they actually are; but the fact is that those promo characters don't actually appear anywhere in the game........yet

Really though it does sound a lot like devona's father. She makes a reference to him fighting for peace, and here is a guy who is currently fighting for just that. Just makes me think that sounds right, don't see any charr in there either.

Oooh I could so see it. A game set in Pre, well, Pre. Have the entire game be based around trying to quell the Charr invasion, allow players to actually see the great Orr, and fight alongside Devona's dear old dad!

Heh, Chapter 0... the first chapter where the heroes actually end up losing!

i wonder what armor is that. its like a mix of knight armor with ascalon armor spikes ....HE got the secret 15k knight ><

Quite dramatic. If anything, that was definitely Devona's father, since she said he fought in the Guild Wars. IIRC, in Pre-Searing she also said that she aspired to be a great warrior like he was. Otherwise I think that male warrior was just a representation of the player, and what he or she can be. The same would go for the Ranger, Mesmer, and Ritualist profession portaits.

We need to find out what the "Ascalon's Chosen" Guild flag looks like. That may be the flag that is shown being flown.

I had always assumed that second pic was supposed to be Dwayna or something. The way she's floating like that resembles the pose of the Dwayna shrines. Or mabye she's just another random concept art they liked but never actually put in-game

At first I was just going to flat out say no. But when I look; their armor does seem to be similar. Although they have different color schemes; they both have the left shoulder pad; the feathers on the right arm, and skirt... thingy.
But the three hench that starred in their own little story line and got to be box art (mhenlo, cynn, and eve) all look exactly identical to the box art. Faces, armor color and everything an obvious match. And they were in the little group of Eve, Mhenlo, Cynn, Devona, and Aidan. Reyna only resembles this cover and she wasn't part of their little clique. I'm going to have to say they are similar but not a match.


On a side note; is it just me or does Reyna look like she hasn't slept in three days?

Also, I was thinking it could be Artemis, the first Ranger Trainer in Pre-Searing (later to appear in the Northern Shiverpeaks), as she actually seems a bit more /story-worthy/.

She is wearing the same armor that's in the pic, but has different color hair, so I dunno...


The male Warrior could be Warmaster Grast or Duke Barradin... more likely Duke Barradin due to his ties with Althea and Rurik...
