How do you farm Ice Imps as a 55?

How do you farm Ice Imps as 55?I have been giving this a try for sometime now and I never get anywhere.It can be annoying especially when they sound like they are laughing at you.I hate that.What methods do some of you use?I go outside of Ice Caves of Sorrow to do this.Thanks.

I find Maelstrom the main thing to worry about when tackling these little guys. To avoid their spells, I tend to wand them from a distance to get their attention. When they come at me, I back away. Usually only one or two will enter my aggro bubble while the others stay outside it. Keep backing away slowly, keeping aggro but making sure as many as possible are outside your bubble. If they're outside your aggro bubble then they're out of spell casting range, and will just use their wand. If one or two can cast spell, don't worry they don't pose much of a problem. If they cast Maelstrom (noticeable by a falling white diamond before the spell takes full effect) then just walk a little distance away from where you stood as it doesn't have a large AoE.

The main thing is to keep them out of casting range to make them use their wand, allowing SoJ to kill them.

I use mesmer as secondary and with Mantra Of Resolve (this will not let u be interuppted I will post the build setup later) They are slow but it works great

But mainly... Aggro the imps with a Wand, and then get out of spellcast range.. If done right they will attack you with their "wand" attack.. Triggering SoJ but mainly without casting spells like malestorm

But check Remmehs guide (belive thats his name, if not then sry) its pretty good..

meh. do nomal 55 setup, but replace bonettis with mantra of resolve.

Shadow-Hunter hit the nail on the head. You have to position yourself so that they only attack with their wands, not spells.

Use a flat bow to pull and instantly change to your -50 icon before you take damage. Works fine...

Practice outside of ice caves before you go on IDS runs.

Or you can practice outside Marhan's Grotto

Well a 55 is all dandy and such...

If you want to get it done properly, W/Me is the way to go.

But still W/Me Sucks Ass if you get Rust!!! = DEAD!

no not dead..
if u do it right the only attacks you take dmg from are like 5 dmg from mind freeze and like 1 from ice spear.. u can start casting Heal sig at like 100 hp and be fine even with rust on....

w/me + VIM = unbeatable

What would you think of of mantra of concentration instaed of resolve.I would use a Warrior build but want to do it with my Monk.

@Age- if you use Mantra of Concentration it will only work on 1 interrupt afaik (I believe it makes it so that the next time you are interrupted, you are not). If it *does* work, that would probably be even better because you wouldn't lose any energy.

If you stay just outside of their aggro, they will not cast spells.
