I'm going to be straightfoward, the new male paragons have really skimpy armor, and don't look like they give the 80 armor they're suppose to. Many people have referred to the profession as "male strippers" or "male hoes" simply because their armor doesn't cover all parts of the body like warriors. I know the paragon is suppose to be in an African/Roman theme, but the visual appearance makes this profession really unappealing.

This petition is to get ANet to add at least a few full body armor sets for the paragon males, or at least add full leggings and boots.

Well, mostly a matter of opinion. I find the look very exotic, but still appealing. And it does cover more than the Male Gladiator armor (in fact this armor looks like true gladiator's armor) but I don't think full body sets / leggings would fit with the Paragon's theme (which as you are aware is a more Roman / Greek look)

The light armor fits with the historical paradigm of Greek/Roman/Arab/... fighters.

Try to fight with heavy full body knight armor in a desert area. Good luck!

Plus, maybe a lot of female players like having a skimpily dressed male character for once <.< >.>

I know the armor goes with the theme, that's why I said to add only a few sets of full body armor, while still keeping other sets the way they are. They don't have to make all the armors full body.

Why just for the males?

Funny I thought this thread would be to lower the armor stats. 80 armor for a ranged class seems too high to me. Then the dervish has 70 when they are melee? Doesn't make sence to me.

But on topic, its just cosmetic. Honestly some of the female armores are pretty skimpy and have the same stats as male. They look cool I don't think it needs to be to scale. It's just a game.

To samifly,

I love Skies of Arcadia, you rock.

Because the females ones are similar to the other female armors of previous professions. But they probably should be given more as well.

That was what i thought too actually. It has ALOT better protection against elemental attack than a ranger and better protection against physical too. It has a 1handed ranged weapon... Sorry but this is just not balanced.

Ranger
Less armour against ele
Less armour against physical
2 Handed weapon

Paragon
More armour against ele
More armour against physical
1 Handed weapon

Yeah sure... because that works.

actually, based on the screenshots we had yesterday of the templar armor, I thought the Paras looked really effeminate (short blouse+short skirt+sandals+dislocated hip in standing position). I've been playing them now and I can say ingame it doesn't really fell that way, especially with the other armors, so, all the better.

Someone said it, you can't wear full armor in the desert. Plus if they are divine beings, it makes sense.

In addition, if the armor is roman themed, then its perfect.

I think the current armor is simply the way it is to simply "have" something ready to go. You'll notice it's not very detailed, simple, not that great. But the overall idea of it is nice. It's clean. Think about how good 15k or better Paragon armor will look. It will look fantastic.

Who's the first guy out there with "I am Sparticus!" name? I want him to post and say so. If not, hell, I'll make it! That's what it looks like!

Anyhow, I do have a complaint. The headpiece. What in the name of bloody cow milk is that thing? A centurion has a thick helmet. I want to see some cool sleek helmets with gold trim and all that. With simple, flexible armor, light spears and a shield. Very "Gladiator." The way I'd expect it, for a game.

Give us cool helments! None of this Ele-poo-crystal stuff!

If the female versions of 15k Gladiator and 15k Druid can give 100 AL versus physical and elemental respectively, I have no problem with the Paragon armor giving 80 AL.

Funny how everyone loves the skimpy female outfits, but there's all sorts of complaints when the males have light armor.

Agreed with the masses. The Paragon derives from an Africanized culture and seems to sport elements of Roman armor as well. Out in the hot and sweaty, wearing full plate armor will kill you in minutes. Hell, wearing what the Paragon does would do nasty things to your core temperature. African warriors wore zilch-all nothing for a reason, ye know .

Let the Paragons keep their light plate. They're a very interesting class right now, both play-wise and in appearance, a unique thing. I vote they stay that way.

The armor doesn't have much to do with roman legionary armor, tho. Sure, he wears a skirt and sandals (which are very different from roman equivalents), but that's about it. None of the armors look like lorica hamata or lorica segmentata. You could compared some of them with muscled breastplates, used by most ancient mediterranean armies, but even then it's not quite the same.
