Maybe I'm just being sinical, but it's just a selling strategy. I'ts a product, and products need to be sold with profit. When lots of people buy the product, someone makes a profit. WoW is a product too, but with a different strategy. It is not like one is free and the other one is expensive.
Just like WoW players, Guild Wars players should not accept flaws in the product. Period! |

GW on the other hand requires that all players (even if they're other family members) buy the game to get their own account, which is understandable, because ANet's not using extortional monthly pay methods to gain their cash ^.^
