Character Selection

Okay, I have 5 characters, a Warrior, Assassin, Elementalist, Ritualist, and Monk. I've really enjoyed playing the Elementalist. I want to fill my 6th slot, but I'm not sure whether I should put a necro or a ranger in there. I've played both at different times and enjoyed them both, even though I enjoyed a ranger more. It's a tough decision...although, I'm kinda considering deleting my assassin because he's kinda boring...for me anyway. Maybe that's just cuz I just got to the mainland. Any thoughts on what I should put in my 6th slot? and whether I should get rid of the assassin and make my necro/ranger decision easier?

my advice is reserve the 6th slot for a pvp char because if in the future u decide to gvg or pvp or HA it would come in handy. and for the assin even though it boring just keep it because u will never know when u might want to play it. just like me i thought ranger was boring and delete my lvl 20 ranger now now i decided to play ranger again and it took soooooooo long for me to lvl it up. well but it ur slot and your char so your choice

I deleted my assassin to make room for a ranger. Very happy with my choice....

Don't delete anything, sooner or later you will be able to buy individual slots, also hold off that final untill the end of the PvP weekend.

If you can only choose between a necro and a ranger, choose the necro, MM and SS curses get slightly better invites than b/p and interupter rangers.

I just deleted my lvl 20 ranger who had 15k Druids armor + 3 perfect 15^50 gold bows ...customized...

...to make room for a Necro! Rangers are real boring for PvE (NOT farming) and i never use him for PvP, and im too impatient to wait to be able to buy extra character slots. Oh well, lotsa money down tubes, but so far im having TONS of fun with my necro! This guy i will definitly be doing lots of PvP with.

To the OP, my advice is too wait till you can buy extra character slots if you're more patient then i am... hehe and dont delete any current characters keep that last slot for PvP.

Um.. did you at least keep the bows (unless they were customized) or salvage the armor for some cash.? Unless you're really rich, unlike me. >.<

I deleted my assassin to make my monk for the second time and loved it. I say leave assassins to PVP and not PVE, well that's my reason I deleted mine.

I just recently deleted my fully ascended Assassin with 15k Canthan armor to make room for my ele. I have one of every core profession and couldn't be happier with my choice.

I guess you dont want a mesmer then? Id say keep a PvP slot, at least until the PvP event is over. You could wait till they add the ability to buy slots and have both if you wanted.

You guys are really helpful...but I suppose it would've been more helpful of me if I mentioned that I don't pvp...like...ever. I might in the future, but I find that Me + PVP = Dead Me....every single time. The only reason I haven't joined a guild yet is I haven't found a good PVE guild and I would only hurt their PVP team. Besides...why reserve a 6th slot for a pvp character, when I could just use one of my rp characters?

Does anyone know what an extra character slot might cost?

And Logan, you're right, Out of all the characters I have the least interest in a mesmer primary. I was going to skip the ritualist too...until I used one of those premade pvp ones, man...I love the rit, lol. (and he looks awesome in shaman garb)
