uh ya im new to the fourm so im not sure if this has been posted before but whatever..
in guild wars.. anybody think that there should be mounts in the new expansion or update or somthing??? ya the telporting system is great its just that i could explore more places and find chests run to a place faster etc.. personally it would be great to get a mount for somthing like (2nd year of owning the game??) and only in use in explorable areas so like you cant be able to run threw a mission super super fast. does anybody know if theres any specific reason why they dont have horses?? it help guild wars a lot and would be up with the rpg gods..

I Agree, only if I can ride a small dragon
If anyone plans on saying it would make running people through explorable areas too easy; people are going to run other people through them anyway, what's the problem with making the process go by more quickly?

Why doesn't guild wars have mounts? Exactly as you said, you could explore faster, find chests easier and run people better. And to do this you'd need to have 2 years played. "Player skill not time spent" doesn't sound too fitting with this.

Grand National to Droknars anybody?

EDIT: dammit, rikimaru pwned my argument before I even made it !_!

Welcome. Please read the stickies on the forum. Please use the button before posting a thread.

Typing "mounts" into the search brings up quite a few threads.

heres the most recent one.

That can't be serious. People and pets need to eat too.

I think the idea of mounts in guild wars is stupid for reasons other people have mentioned but I wouldnt mind the ability to turn into a dragon for a few mission because you have to go up some mountain quickly or something or maybe even travel around cloud cities as one killing astuff using dragon spells. I can imagine it now. Flaring everything in site, big dog fights between other dragons, griffons and hippogriffs trying to dogge their attacks while in the process getting higher than them or behind them so you have the advantage. The only problem with this the cost to make it will most likely be through the roof. But it will kind of be liek turning into a worm in Facions or was it nightfall. Or maybe on a different lien they could add the character race centaurs or birdmen who could travel faster than normal people.

This has been posted a thousand times over. Mounts will most likely NEVER happen in Guild Wars. And if they DO, it will be like minipets...NO fighting valute WHATSOEVER....only looks....if you want mounts, go play WoW or learn how to ride a horse.

GW IS already better than WoW

But just see the GW landscape. Sands, rocks, jungles, cities... no place for horses. There are already Junundu, and it is a kind of mount.

I mean, it's not that GW do not allow mounts, it's that mounts are highly map-related.

I would really agree with more junundu-like mounts.

A mission you must do riding a horse, a mission you make in the sky riding a dragon (or any flying creature), some areas that have 'mount spots' like wurm spoors...

But NOT a mout you purchase and can use anywere.

How this thread survived this long, I do not know, but I'd like to make a note to this user, and all others that share his attitude:

No, not "whatever". You read the rules, and you follow them, or you don't post. Being a new user is not a valid excuse for ignoring the stickies and general site rules.
