Post Post Links To Your Screenshot Gallaries

Here is my GALLARY, its a bit limited to area, but I plan on expanding it much more this time around. Also I will be capturing at 1600x1200 all features on except post processing, 8xS AA, 16X Aniso, Trilinar optimizations, vertical sync on, instead of 1280x1024 with the same options.

EDIT: Okay so all the images I took during this event are up. If any Mods are looking I posted some images of Rare skills I obtained and picks of the main map.

Here are some of my favorites:

Ruins

Autumn

Check out the above gallery if you want the full 1600x1200 versions of these screenshots in all their glory. I must say though, these screenshots still don't do the game justice.

Yeah I'm aware, but I don't notice the diffence, and the extra few frames can be nice. Thx for sharing, though.

Well, Trilinear Optimizations don't actually reduce image file size. I personally use MS Paint to save the my files as .jpg, which is a decent file compression. There are also my programs out there that can do batch compressions.

Trilinear Optimization is a driver setting that graphics card drivers allow you to turn on or off. Turning them on will slightly reduce the image quality... that is providing the drivers were written well. Basically its a means of getting better in game performance with a small image quality sacrifice. For the most part you can't really notice it with motion graphics, but I sure with a trained eye it could probably be seen, especially if you are viewing still images (screenshots). Also enable or disabling TL has no affect on the image resolution.

In short if you want to have same screenshot file size use a compression program that will compress the image to a .jpg file. That will yield sufficient results for posting images online.

Hope that helps.

MSPaint compresses jpg's too much, a lot of quality is lost. IrfanView has the best JPG compression and options I've used thus far, it can also do batch jobs, and best of all, it's 100% free.

Thumbs up

I'll have to give that a try. Right now I'm using BIMP. Its freeware as well, but i'm really not sure if the compression quality is anything to shout at. I would definitely heed to the words of Kuntor as he is far more knowledgable in this area than me.

OK, here's some highlights, culled from a few weekends. One of my guildmates has some cool ones too, I'll see if I can get the files from him.
