Why don't you just go read the "lore" section of the main website? Or have you already done that? Those stories are extremely well written.. and they have nice concept art to accent the text.
Also, you could also Spooky's story. There's a link to it from the front page. It's very very amusing, and well written. There ya go, Spooky, another plug.

What do you mean too cheap to preorder? Most, if not all, places have that money go toward the purchase of the game.

Or if you preorder from EB it will cost you normal store price. Thats about 50 dollars and they ship you the presale packet imediatly and the game on the 26th.
Its the same price as waiting for it to show in stores.

Same. I'm a Canuck though so perhaps that has something to do with it.

The pre-order lets you get in on the BWE. (mind you..only one event left)
Technically, the preorder costs you nothing. Whatever money you put on a pre-order goes to the price of the game itself upon release.
If you don't get the game on release, then yes, you are out five dollars. If you do get the game on release then that $5 is part of the purchase price of the game so you would pay only $45 when it came out.
What it will cost you depends solely upon what you plan on doing. The game is no more expensive than any other out there in the end anyways. Besides, no matter what trepidations someone may have about "rumors" and such (which I highly suggest you completely ignore), there is no real risk in buying the game.
Just make sure if you pre-order you save the receipt so you have proof to apply to the game sale.

Try mowing the lawn, or rake the backyard (while he is at work) then ask him after he get's home, if that doesn't work tell him you'll tell m0m about the affair hey's having with your English teacher.

I would think if you told your dad the pre-order can mean you pay the $5 and try it out..if you like it and want to play it then your good to go on the full game and they will deduct the $5 from the total cost of the game. if you dont like it then you dont have to play it and your only out $5 so which is better to lose out if the case may be? $5 or $50 .
