lol, it is a screenshot you took from a property you do not hold the rights to. anywho, I could have posted the link and said scroll down. If it bothers you that much I wont do it again.
geez, do we now need to seek promission to use in game screenshots from intellectual properties we dont own?
i'm a nice guy, i wont leech anymore from your site even though I used foxfire to copy image location from the guildwarsguru thread you posted here which is a public forum and thus was freely distributed to us.
People if you dont want your pics spread around then put some information regarding that on your pics!!!!

I think that A11Eur0 is more bothered about how remote linking uses up a hell of a lot of bandwidth from his server, than the intellectual rights of the actual image.
I've just killed two birds with one stone anyway. Firstly; Akilles, learn to read the stickies. We have a rule on screenshot width here and it's been there for a long time now. Secondly; A11Eur0, I've converted his link to an URL, so it shouldn't leech from your server anymore. You can thank me later.

Do it again and see how long your thread lasts, then it might not be so funny.

It is called the enchanter set.
And it is a nightmare to dye. Red turns to a bright purple, green turns into neon green. And all other colors act accordingly. The only color that doesn't go moo when combining outfits is black. Which is awfully expensive.

I thought you took a picture of me! I've got exactly the same mesmer, but with the haircolor slightly different.
I've got the whole enchanter setup dyed purple. Looks pretty cool.

thanks. and Akilles, I pay for that server, so either you start sending checks my way or you just save the picture to your own computer and host it on your own server. There was no reason to get defensive or rude, I asked nicely, said please and thanks.
Either way, I hope you saved it, because it's now deleted from my server. THANKS.

Well that just prompted me to take everything off my server completely.
People should learn respect for other peoples' property. I didn't give you express permission to browse my server, and I didn't put it into HTML because I want easy access to the files. I shouldn't have to inconvenience myself just to keep rude asshats like you away.

In this case it is you, that is the rude ass. Look at your posts. If you want easy access to your files - simply put in an .htaccess. Done dio. No need for a blank html file or flaming around because someone is stealing bandwith.
Speaking of stealing...
You've some WAREZ uploaded to your server. You DARE speaking about STEALING? Yes i found them by browsing the unprotected webspace.
This is drop dead ridiculous. FYI, i did not download any of these files. But i made sure i got some proofs of them.

Oh please.... remote linking a PICTURE on this forum takes like.. NO bandwidth. Unless you're on a ridiculously horrible webhost. I know on mine I get 1000gb/month transfer and I usually hover around 40-80gb/month--and I link stuff on my site all the time in forums.
So please, cry more.

He asked for an image on his server not to be direct linked on a forum, I half-obliged him by converting the [IMG] tag to an [URL] tag. I see no problem with his request, as it's his own server. The original poster was breaking a forum rule anyway by direct linking an image so large.
So please, butt the hell out.

Man some people here really have too much time on their hands. I am letting friends use some of my space, I have no knowledge of their content on there. I guess I should make sure they take it off. I don't need you to police my actions. I asked nicely for someone not to direct link a picture of mine, it was a simple request, I don't need all of you uber-net haxzorz-wannabes to show me what you can do, I know full well my server was open to the public. I'm just asking for people to respect my wishes like I would respect theirs. And you scouting my server space for copyright materials was just lame and childish. As for the file you told me to put in ther, I know absolutely nothing about that, I actually have a life.
And could someone please lock this thread, it's got no real use anyway.

You flame around and then want to get this thread locked? That is childish.
You've got warez on your server. Fact.
What exactly is childish about stating that? It is just ironic you speak about intelectual property and rob of others. Don't tell me thats some stuff of a friend of you. That is just bullshit. It is always the little sister/friend/guinea pig who did it, isn't it? No need to comment on that. You distribute warez and just try to get out of it now with some lame excuses and accuses.
And it is ironic, people set up a server without knowing the very basic of locking it down. Don't give me crap about life, i do have one and it doesn't have to do with computer technology. The first thing i learned when i hired a server was how to keep others out. It was a matter of seconds googling for it. It was a hint towards you, but you turned it into a reason to call me "no life nerd" in an indirect way.
Face it, warez monkey. You got caught. Now live up to it.
By the way, it is my duty to turn in the proofs of you distributing warez. Reporting that server by now. Nothing personal.

It was a friend's section of the server. You should have known that by looking at the url path. Either way, you have zero life looking around my server just to prove a point. That material is now off my server, that path name is no longer available, because I removed their access rights to my site.
And I never complained about intellectual property. I don't care if people copy the picture. All I asked was not to take the picture that is easily seen in another thread and spam the damn thing in other threads which would kill my bandwidth. that is all I asked. Oh look, I even said it would be better if he just copied the picture and hosted it himself.
It is your duty to be a damn asshole with nothing better to do than call me out try to publicly humiliate me. Well, sorry to tell you this friend, but you've done nothing but make yourself look like a complete loser. Nothing personal.
If you were to actually look at the thread, you'd see that I was nothing but polite to the user in question. I asked nicely, and he came back with flaming remarks. Again I was nothing but polite, if not a bit more firm, and he again flames me, and this time you jump into the discussion that you have absolutely no stock in trying to make yourself feel all mightya nd superior to me. I really don't care about 'keeping people out' because I use my server publicly for photohosting and personal file hosting. It's people like him and you that ruin the internet by making it necessary to either keep locks on everything or to prevent people from hosting files altogether. I'll say it again, this time in plain english:
BUTT OUT OF THIS DISCUSSION, AND GET A DAMN LIFE.
