They're too big. >< Please remove the picture and post a link to them instead.
And I don't think they have any use..

Go out and find a soulstone, sacrifice a lamb, make a pentagram with the lamb's blood, and then you can summon Diablo to scour the lands.

I've been there...there's nothing except some charr near the stairs.
I've wondered what that's for, but since i couldn't do anything, no monsters, no buttons, nothing, i moved on and forget about it.

I have found several locations like this. I'm thinking map expansions when the new chapters are made?

I've been in there many times and stood at those "gates" trying to get in. I wonder if they have Gwen back there and are torturing her. in which case LET ME IN TO HELP!

I think they left a lot of future use stuff to plug in to. It would not surprise me to see if this is used with the expansion. I love the little touches of detail they put in while exploring.

Yeah but if only we could interact with more of the "little touches of detail" they put in.

mmh the only strange thing for me, is that area is named "Dragon's Gullet"
because if you see the "ancient" map on the game manual, "Dragon's Gullet" is the name of the whole area at north of the Wall

You notice that in all towns there is that "Compass" design on the ground. Its the very same design Rurik used to open a portal.
Its very likely that in the future, all of these Compasses we find outside of towns will become portals. We just havent reached that part of the story.
