Ok, so I was doing undead hordes with this awesome smiting monk and just myself, and another warrior. We are fighting, and fighting, etc. We die a bit, etc. Once its done, I notice that a gold staff dropped for me. When I hovered my mouse over it, I was like nooo, not max damage. But eh, I guess I could see what it had. I went back to beetletun to collect my reward, and then preceded to identify this item. The bottom text says I unlocked it.

Sorry for the bad quality, I didn't feel like waiting for photoshop to load, so I did I "cropped" it in paint. (Btw, how much would the insightful staff head go for?)

Sometimes you get a little pop up saying what you unlocked when you identified something... sometimes you don't. And on rare cases... you don't salvage the item that was unlocked

but lucky you, I have not gotten a gold drop since I was lv9 and I'm lv20 now... *cries*

got one in UW back when good stuff used to drop there and i got 16 wood planks from salvaging (with xpert kit mind you). YAY i was a happy camper...NOT.

what the hell, i get on average 2-3 a day, mostly max damage the odd +15% but none since lvl9?
