Oh those wonderful monks...
I'll admit there are times when I just want to hurt every monk because they can always get into a group. But then there are times like this where all I can think about is how great they are, and how they make me feel like a god.
Every monk deserves a pat on the back.

Not with the right skills on him. Anyone can survive if they have a pure protection monk (that knows what their doing) backing them so long as theres no enchant stripping going on.

I've done that much with a 3 man run, but nonetheless... nice going. Protection Prayers are very, very useful, as this screenshot shows quite nicely.

Hmm, ok, let's see what we have here:
Zealots, Essence Bond, and Mending on the first line. On the second line, I don't know what that first skill is, but I'm assuming it's some monk elite and protective bond as well. + some enemy conditions.
So the tank is running zealots (smiting). The monk casts essence bond (non-attribute), mending (healing), and protective bond (prot). With Balthazar's Aura (smiting) being cast by the monk as well.
I'm curious what setup the monk is using since the warrior is setup is probably tactics, smiting, and sword or axe mastery.
Monk seems like smiting/healing/prot or something. Anyone offer any clues as to what makes a good 2-man build?

2man build
I have run 1man, 2man, and 3man UW forays. In each case my build has been the same. In our groups my monk is the protection monk-tank.
In all cases I am using the Level 17 protective bond + low max health strategy. Mending I run at +3 or +4 regen, just depends. Solo it has to be at +4, that way you get 1 regen when bleeding.
Solo: (Mo/W) protective bond / essence bond / balt's spirit / mending / balt's aura / spellbreaker / healing breeze / bonetti's defense. In the SS I have blessed signet, but that is unnecessary and I bring Spellbreaker now.
SS: http://users.easystreet.com/~crdodds/gw/soloaatxes.jpg
2man: I swap out balt's aura for rebirth. Other party member brings: rebirth / zealot's fire / essence bond / spells of their choice. Draw conditions is good for kicking off zealots. Orison, breeze, and balt's aura makes a nice setup. My 2man partner is an EMo. As an EMo he can make good use of Ether Renewal. Swap that out for Balt's aura, cast breeze on yourself + ether renewal, and spam draw conditions on the monk-tank. Huge smite spike using no mana until Renewal runs out.
3man: Third party member should also be Mo/* or */Mo. Zealot's fire / rebirth / essence bond are the requirements. They can run same build as #2, or swap out something for healing seed - makes the monk-tank (me) unkillable via melee for duration of the seed, as I am healed more than I get hit for (which is 5 ). Chaos storm or maelstrom or other anti-casting AE is useful also for the coldfires, but they can be killed without them - just makes it easier.

I'm using a sword, hence Riposte and Deadly Riposte.
Neither one of us has a method of reviving the other. Thus Martyr can bring in Zealot's Fire and Balthazar's for faster kills.
