Nice, O've been looking for new wall paper.

Though I prefer the one w/o statues. Less cluttered.

there are 4... i think in ascalon city (post searing) by where u get the quest for cities of ascalon. When u go up the stairs behind the guild emblemer people and take a left, thats where a bunch are. And there are some more randomly aroudn them map.

Those snakes are the extict fabled "truesights" that were killed off during a mass plague for some reason. You see their giant skeletons all over tyria, but crystal desert has the most.

For the thing in the middle its a Forgotten or a "serpant"

Look in the history section of your GW manual

If you bought the game online you get NO manual... kinda annoying. I'm paying the same money as everyone else

-looks through the 144 page GW manual/"manuscript"-

"It was almost 3000 years ago that a race of serpents steppedout of the rift onto the soil of Tyria. Unlike ordinary serpents, these moved upright, used language, and adhered to elaborate culture. They had been summoned by the old Gods. Brought into this world to be the custodians. Their task: shepard the other creatures of the land through this time of transition, while the gods continued to create the world around them.
>>Insert picture of the painting thats in the mural here<<
-bla bla about how humans took control of tyria-..."Leaving the newcomersbe, the serpants went to live in the only place humansdid not: the crystal desert."

So according to the manuscript the snake creature in the painting is indeed the forgotten. Those human sized snakies all over the place when you are trying to ascend in the crystal desert.
