Agreed, nothing turns heads more than Black 15k Nobles.
With all the Mesmers around wearing ______ this much clothing,
it definately stands out.

enchanter's footwear with noble is hot! but it would look way better without the cape. the cape just ruins it.

Without the cape:
Nobles in full black loses too much detail IMHO. Note the embroidery in this picture:
Still, I agree, Nobles with Enchanters boots FTW!

Dying Noble armor black doesn't exactly lose the detail. You can still see it. It might be a tad subtler, but I like it that way.
But I do think that blue looks quite elegant, too. Maybe even black+blue for a cobalt or midnight blue look.
FYI - in case you haven't noticed, the game doesn't render other players as well as it renders yourself. If you stand next to your "twin" you'll notice you look much more detailed.

Thank you for the comment on the blue color.
Regarding the rendering, I believe that the limitation is only while "in town" and once you go outside, everyone is rended at the same level of detail.
Still, I can understand your sentiments on the subtle coloring.
