Photoshop put to a good use? Wow...
The Melandru Statue in King's Watch. No matter which one of us have favor, the statue remains dead an inactive with no "nature" left in Ascalon.
Until now....

Nice.
Here is a little tribute to a sadly missed companion. We keep hoping for the best, although we all fear the worst...

I think ye should've left the water the same, maybe did a slight bit with the colors and "shininess" of it but not changed it entirely, and me thinks more than one brush for leaves would've done ye some good to. That one tends to be better for grass as opposed to leaves. Then again I usually think custom brushes out do the stock ones.

it is, its just so subtle that you cant tell that it is.
Neat huh?
Also, take a look at the statue some time, there is no water. No leaves. Nothing.

Yeah me thinks you could've pulled off better, I mean it's better than half the crap on these forums I guess but still could be better. Maybe some randomized rotation on the brush for the leaves, some different brushes in there that you can actually see, and the smudge tool for the water, yo. You could've pulled off some wicked 1337 shit with it if ye'd done more with it.

Yeah, probably could. I'm out of practice with Photoshop. Then again, this took like 6 minutes. An overlay, a few lighting tricks, a few brushes, and bam.
If I wanted to take an hour, I could make a screenshot into a painting. But I dont want to. Some day this week I'll redo it, taking a shot of ToA when we have favor and get a basis for it. Should be easy enough, got to do the water in a transparent way, probably with a contained plastic wrap for sheen. It'll be better if its done in 3 or 4 parts with the water cut behind the bowls so that they dont cusp over the edge. The leaf brushers will need to be done a bit finer. That part alone will take an hour probably. Also I want to get a more mossy look around Melandru herself with a brush, rather than just puting green in the overlay and wrapping it around.
Dammit, my graphic artist side woke up. Thanks alot...

I took your six minutes, and added...six minutes! Hope you don't mind, just dicked around with it for a few minutes. Now that I take a gander at it, it'd make a great desktop. Cheers for that.

Hey! None of it was a filter except for the grainy shitty look, and I did that because I could only save it as a low-quality JPG or else it would've been too large to convieniently upload to a URL. So I figured I might as well make it look like shit with a shitty overlay on purpose instead of a shitty unintentional jpg-related noise-fest.

I do like your water better, I think I'll try to copy how you did it.
The leaves on the other hand look too "painted".

I know what you mean, I tried to make it look as less like a screenshot as possible. It turned out looking like a painting. Go figure. I guess it makes sense since it was all done with "paint" brushes for the most part.
