This is why I PvP
I know it's not really impressive to many of you people who have win streaks of 30+ or whatever, but for me, as a casual PvPer, this kind of stuff is what keeps me playing PvP.
A random arena group progressing to team arenas and going on to win 20 more games, before losing a VERY close game on the map where the highest number of kills wins (don't know what that map is called). If we lasted just 10 more seconds on that map, we would have won. And if we had won, who knows how much longer we could have gone on winning. Kudos to that team for getting 2 kills in the last 13 seconds.
And this, which happened a few games before we lost, is one of the reasons why I keep playing Guild Wars in general:
Playing with people who are nice and can make you laugh.

Congratulations. There will inevitably be people who scoff, but as a casual PvP'er myself, I consider this an achievement. Job well done.

I got a similar run before I had to leave for one of my matches.
Two monks- one me doing prot (Tatyana von Zarovic) and another doing Heal, with wards. An insanely awesome damage-crazy warrior. A mesmer who didn't have the best skills, but managed to be a pain anyways.
It was pretty insanely awesome. All of them were flawless, too, except for the first one (back in Comp).
I've also gotten to teams with more limited success when running my skill-denial mesmer.

That is great, good job. My best with a CA team is 15 streak... we ran into a 4 ranger team that owned us
30 wins though with a CA group is insane... and I love that skill setup - I use it all the time on my N/Me. Soul leach + backfire is sooooo nice vs. teams without good anti-hex, and if you have an interrupt you can usually get it off vs. their remove/smite hex (holy veil is a diff. story though).
Congrats

Thanks for all of the positive replies. Although I just wanted to share my great experience, I was expecting apathy at best, and flaming/trolling at worst.

I find that it's quite helpful in many cases; I don't know why more people don't bring some form of enchantment removal. Stripping Mending, Healing Breeze, and/or whatever else monk enchantments off the ubiquitous W/Mo is quite fun and makes them much more killable. One of my teammates from the win streak team thought it was quite funny when I rended a Vengeance'd monk, obviously causing him to die instantly. At the time, I had no idea that he was still alive due to Vengeance, and was quite surprised when he died instantly with most of his health still intact. Of course, it made sense after my teammate explained it to me that he was enchanted with Vengeance.
In another battle, the enemy team brought along a farming build monk... After the Rend, he died quite quickly....

Believe it or not, our team faced a 4 ranger group in Team Arenas and we killed them in about a minute, maybe slightly more or less. Our team, being mostly casters, believed we would be in for a really tough fight. I don't even know how we won so quickly, but I think our elementalist's Meteor Shower had something to do with it. When it was over, we were all like "WTF, did we just beat a 4 ranger team just like that?"
Regarding the skillset, I've hardly ever seen any necros using Soul Leech at all, let alone another N/Me using Soul Leech + Backfire together. Parasitic Bond works wonders on monks with hex removal; one of the toughest fights we had was against a 2-monk team, with both monks running hex removal of some kind. We still managed to win, but it was definitely one of our longer battles.

Xlarisx,
congratz. having fun is the most important thing ^^.
hilarious to see the TA players leave after you said you were from RA even before the match started.
And Frosty, go make your own thread if you want congratulations or something. Congratz on your wins, but not needed in this thread to steal someone's moment of fun and sense of accomplishment.
Congrats again Xlaris, maybe i'll see you someday in Team Arena....
