Default How to tell your group is going to suck...

Now, I know it's not a good idea to join a random PUG in tombs. But sometimes when you're just starting out, you take what you can get. That said, it's not too hard to tell that a group just isn't worth your time.

I took that screen immediately after getting the hell out of that group.

When your "Ranger Spike" group has 2 Spike Rangers, 1 trapper, 1 Prot. Monk, 2 W/Mo's, an Echo Nuker, and a Minion Master.

Or of course the errm.. oh so violent way of asking "zOMGZ R U A HEALERR ??? YOU BETTR HEAL ME IN TEH MISSION OR I WILL CAUSE U DEEEAAAATH!!!"

o.o..... ^ Happened to me, on my monk... With some super ego-tastic Warrior spamming things like that before we entered.. Fun to leave the group or just X out right when it starts with those kind of people.

The "Tank" doesn't know how to tank, or doesn't know what the arrgo circle is.

When they announce "Group looking for one more for mission. We have 2 monks already." and, when you join, you realize their monks' names are Mhenlo and Lina. (True story)

Before heading out to mission, see person from a different group say:

GLF MONKS!

*Come back to outpost after beating mission*

(same person) GLF MONKS!

As if Alesia and Lina don't want to join... although I wouldn't blame them if they didn't. :P

EDIT:

Xue Yi Liang, that isn't a telltale sign of a newb. That's a telltale sign of someone who wants to play the mission TODAY. It's also a sign of someone who isn't 100% reliant on healing power.

It's not so much that they're using henchies (I use them all the time). It's that they felt they had to send out the impression that they had 2 player-monks. - i.e. if they didn't think it was a big deal they wouldn't have announced it at all, right?

"Are we doing the bonus?" ~ Ranger in my group, right before we lost to the Unworthy Spirits in Tombs.
