How far did you get with henches in RoF?
Everyone knows Ring of Fire.
If you are not a monk, you are f...ed. Even if you are a monk, you have a good 90% chance that your group will fail.
Everyone seems to be afraid of taking henches like if they had pest or something like this.
Let's see how far my redneck Wa/Mo got with these "sucky" compagnions.
We headed to the back door. First we met some imps. Yeah, the mighty, overpowered, dirty little bastards.
Hmm, was luck on our side? Surely...
Then we broke into the guradhouse.
Pure luck? Of course. Henches s.ck big time.
What happened next?
Warrior boss dude is down. Fortune smiled upon us once more. I know.
What about the end?
Well, we all died when I tried to clear the rest of them, 2 bosses between 4 ether seals. So why did I tell all of this? I failed in the end, proving that henches suck? You are wrong. I failed because I didn't have another human who could have pulled targets away from the seals or stayed back in safety and resurrected us. Henches were awesome. And still I can't find anyone who would join me if I took henches in the group.
So I spend my time LFG in RoF, failing with the occasional PUGs that prefer to go without monk(s) than taking Mhenlo and Lina (better protector than the 99% of monks showing up in the area).
To conclude, my point was to show: the henchies aren't there for the parade but to be valuable additions to any team, especially the monks. I strongly recommend to consider this.
Cheers,
Sunyi

henchies never sucked, they're better than pug's, specially now that they actually run out of AoE spells (yes, the update has some good stuff too )
the only problem i ever had with henchies was the lack of interupts, needed to take down mursaat monk bosses, but if you keep bashing and slashing and using that disrupting chop long enough, he's bound to go down once :P

You lost because you didn't have Mending.

Update!
Update:
I got f... angry after another PUG failure. I alerted my hench brothers and we went to war. I planned a front door break in this time. In our way to the gate we took the bonus mission from the Seer.
Optimism is our strenght, isn't it?
After some harsh battles we faced the Eidolon hellspawn.
Yeah, it fought brave but not brave enough. So we got some boost from the Seer: BONUS completed with henchies, yes, they s.ck, I know.
Then we returned to the battlefield. With every kill, we got closer to the end. Mhenlo with Succor and Life bond was king. We retreated often, running back was the core of the strategy.

The Guardhouse was a piece of cake. Khilborn was happy, of course.
Thank you for your attention.
See you at Abbadon's Mouth.
And all you Wa/Mo-s filling up the place in RoF, get those newbie henches and bring glory to your name!

Everytime I've taken the long way, I've died. Everytime I've gone through the front door, success. Those imps are just way too strong.

Beat Southern Shiverpeaks, Ascention Missions, and Ring of Fire missions all with henchies. They are better than most players.

I beat all of them with henchies, then again I guess I've done all the missions in the game with henchies. The one that was most difficult (Only beaten it once with henchies) was abaddon's mouth.
Did it all with me necromancer. Wee for necromancers.

For my first try (first post) I killed all the imps and I was able to "lower" my DP to -1% when I broke into the fort. So my chances were more than good to finish the mission. I lost patience though (after almost 2 hours of stress) and could not concentrate anymore. The front door break-in was a piece of cake next to the "imp-ish" horror.

Abbadon's mouth is an easy mission with henches once you figure out how to break into the fortress with them. Also, near the end, there are a couple (2x2)of Mursaat bosses guarding 2 ether seals. You must break the seals and run, leave the bosses alone. The rest is not hard.
Break into the fort with henches (Abbadon's Mouth)*: Go to the front gate (kill the Jades) but don't touch the seals. Target the closest Mursaat and attack. Cynn will take care of them (yes, you should bring her for this ). Once the walls cleared just destroy the seals.
*Note: this worked well before the nov. 10th update, I have not tried this after it.

This has been my experience as well. I have done this mission from the backdoor and the front door. Without a doubt, the front door is easier. I just consider the source who told us.."go the backway."
Thanks also to those in the thread with the head's up on Lifebond and Succor. I'm going to look those up and see if its something my W/Mo should be using in her build. I personally don't care for Mending either, and would love an alternative.

initially i did all the missions with pug groups. they are fairly straight forward. after that I have completed the missions numerous time just with henchies,(capping runs). henchies IMO are the best investment. Done thunder, iron mines, ring of fire, abaddons mouth and hells all with henchies. <--henchies rock

I finished the entire mission with Henchmen - as a ranger. I did not take images 'cause I did it with no issues and did not think it was difficult.

I've done it several times with henches, there's a pattern:
Center Crystal > Right Crystal > Left Crystal > Right Crystal
