Alot of people, me included basicaly just used this place to unlock alot of the runes, money wasnt the issue

and
for the xp when my monk was in the cryta area, it was a nice way to level up and gain some farming experience.

Although, that being said

it's fun and it still makes a change from boring chest runs and farming other places

yah the build i use is very easy and quick. i can take out all the ettins that i can agro possible right past the avicara from beetletun at once (once was about 10)

i use

triple chop {E}
cyclone
disrupting chop
bonettis defense
dolyak sig
blanced stance
sprint
live vicariously

i cant quite remember the attributes i used but it was so simple and yah i got lots of good ettin pauldrens. i must say it was a blast.

P.S.
i recomend using good weapons like
victos battle axe
exalted aegis

they both help alot.

i would pick
1:Healing Signet
2:sprint
3:Sever Artery
4:Gash
5:Galrath Slash
6:Final Thrust
7:interupt
8:healing hands

my normal build for there:

1: Cyclone Axe
2: Eviscerate
3: Executioner's Strike
4: Dolyak Signet
5: vigorous spirit
6: sprint or tiger stance
7: balthazar's spirit
8: mending

Vampiric axe, sentinel's armor. axe helm, sup vigor, major axe rune, major strength rune (to get strength to 13)

Final attributes:
Axe 13
Strength 13
Healing prayers 10

Pretty basic build, and works a lot of places, from pongmei valley to ettin farming to soloing Ghial and vermining. One thing that I've done to change up, is farm lorasu just outside of Quarrel Falls. they drop a lot of runes as well, and it's a break from farming ettins. there are a lot more of them, but each run takes longer.

(Edit- with Tiger Stance instead of sprint, you can simply outdamage the ettin's healing sig. If you switch cyclone axe for penetrating chop/blow, and take Tiger's Fury, you can even outdamage the Troll-ungent spam of Chkkr thousand tails)

Forget all the build posted above, use search button for 'Ettin Harvester'. Its a R/Me build that can take 8 ettins down in 5 secs. Its way faster then any of the above.

sweet, i just found this thread while looking for a superior rune of vigor. hopefully they are still dropping as this thread is over a year old now. can anyone confirm this is still a good farm?
