since the hammer is slow i dont think it would be that good

also im thinking of putting hundred blades in intsead of flurry, since flurry is only for 5 seconds i think hundred blades would be better, just a thought havent tried it yet

Hammer bash (on heal sigit)

Pain, have u farmed ettins with a hammer? I don't think so from ur build

They use balanced stance, and counter blow and hammer bash do nothing. Also frenzy is not indicated cause u don't have extra armour and dmg reduction from shield....

This is my build, that i use for farming ettins, and it works

Atributes goes like this (not sure cause i am at work now)
15 hammer mastery
11 tactics
11 strength

Skills:

Irresistable blow
Myghty Blow
Disperation Blow
Defy Pain (E)
Dolyak Signet
Watch urself
Sprint
Heal Sig

Ettins will do very little dmg to u (extra armour from Dolyak, Watch urself and defy pain). You will do a lot of dmg, also conditions. If u hit an irrezistable, myghty blow while they use heal sig u hit for 120+ (i use an elemental dmg hammer)
Also the drops are quite good, a lot better then when i use my axe or sword for farming.

Mighty, so u say that u get better drops when u use your hammer instead of your sword ? How is that possible ?

OnT : I've been farming ettins outside Beetletun for 2 days now. Got about 40k =)
2 Sup Vig and 1 Sup Divine Favor. + Some minor things like tactics.

shield doesnt matter.. group of 3 just cant do 300 dmg to you b4 you kill them
Atr:
Str 6 + 3
Tact 6 + 3
Water 10
Swords 12 + 4

Skills:
100blades
galrath
final
berserker stance
rust
conjure frost
healing sig
sprint
with this i can kill 3 ettins in ~20-25sec, its faaaaster than any w/mo with ripostes or shit like that

The first 2-3 runs i got 1-2 gold every time but now when i have farmed there for some time, i never get gold. It's even rare with purple pouldrons(?).

It has to be that Anti-Farming stuff. Do you guys know any things u can do to get the good drops back ?

Take a break, go back, do a couple of runs, then go farm elsewhere, preferalbly in a different part of tyria. Farm underworld for instance, or do some pvp. Then come back, drops should be fresh and new for you.

Hey thx man for the build. I tried using it a while ago and got nothin but some crappy ones. I just decided to try it agian tonight and found a sup absorption. So thx agian. Btw how much should i sell the rune for??

Thanks for bringing this up. I'm using Don't Feel No Pain's Sword build but thanks to you, I just found 2 sup vigors and 1 sup absorbtion in one run. I used to think it was nerfed but it's not, it was just my luck.

I did about 40 runs with this before, and all I got was some minor runes from purple Pauldrons.

But today I soloed Grenth's Footprint, then came back and tried this. The first Ettin I killed dropped a Superior Healing Prayers rune!

I think I was just really lucky, though. Can't see myself getting a gold per run, like others are saying.

ive been using this build and its preety effective. but since im using victos blade, i took out flurry, since it used up alot of energy and doing less damage. I put in vigorous spirit, so i get healed 11hp on hit.
The only thing that annoys me, is that ive not been getting much "good golds". I havent found a sup absorb or vigor, ive only found monk runes as a good one. Today i found 2 golds in 2 runs. But, the runes i found in em...Should have never been put down as a gold. Those 2 were major swordsmenship and major curses...
Did they do anything to the ettins farming spot?

Give it a break for a few days... or go farm somewhere else... or do a few missions... do something other than farm ettins for a little bit!

The game is not going to give you good drops after you roll through an area 10 times in a row.
