dont know.. but when im following the quest and the maps i can find those outside of beetlenun (~12) but if i go through the portal i find just 6 (and they are quite (very) far away too Oo

so how is that run ment? couse that second map is showing a patch that will not lead to ettins at all oO

They are part of the 'save the pig' quest (not sure what its name is) and I've never got them to drop anything. If you run down to where the pig is, they start running towards you...but its not worth it as they don't drop much (if anything.)

Nothing to be fixed, those maps work perfectly, I did this run last night and found 2 sup runes in 1 run

lucky me. The second zone, if you follow the map past the settlement there should be from 9-15 ettins, depending on spawns. And there is always an extra group of three that are on the bluffs down the beach a little ways. It may be a short walk, but this zone is worth doing.

it still works - i got 3 golds in 1 run last night but came out with all poo. thing is you can over farm a place and then nothing will drop. just stay away for a while and then come back.

Strange I am sure I have had at least 2 purples and a gold drop from them. I will have to keep track and confirm this.

akkarin, i am not online right now but it is pretty simple. You can start out in Bettlerun and head east, go thru gargoyles and birds. Should see ettins there. continue east more ettins. road should curve se some follow it. maybe more ettins. then zone to nebo (there are some more birds right before exit, i would run right by them or dont even hit them).

in nebo if you havent done pig mission yet. head east and talk to farmer, one of the first people you will see in settlement then head south on road until u see pig. usually ettins begin to spawn and will come at you once you start pushing the pig some.

still in nebo other ettins are located just east of the settlement. usually 3 or 4 groups of them.

oh all of this is in kryta.

just go thru the settlement (east of it), u should see hills, they should be right there.

Is it wrong for me to hate you, lol im finding gold major runes but does favor have anything to do with it? i found 2 gold with favor and nuttin without. still no sup absorb or vigor

Ok, got a question for all the veterans out there. How do you decide when to salvage the rune, and when to sell the armor to the merchant? I know that sometimes the armor merchant value is worth more, but am poor at telling exactly when.

Also, for the white ettin pauldrons and ettin hides you pick up..... do you salvage, or ID and sell to merchant? I need to squeeze all the $ out of this I can. I'm so poor.

Just look down the list at a Rune Merchant and you'll easily be able to see which ones are worth your time...but generally speaking.

You SHOULD keep:

Any monk Sup rune.
Sup Fire
Sup/Major Absorbtion
Sup/Major Vigor
Sup/Mnr Sword
Sup Marks/Wilderness Survival
Sup Axe (? not sure about this one)
Sup Death
There might be one or two others...but they don't come to mind.

Most of the rest are pretty much worthless. Once you've unlocked most of your runes, or outta financial strife, you can Salvage before you identify and sell the unid'ed runes you don't need. That's squeezing alot MORE gold outta the rune run than just selling the armors.

Add minor strength and tactics to the list above. Also DEFINATELY sup axe (4-5K atm)

Best thing to do is check out the sell prices at the trader and decide what is worth salvaging.

yeah, I can tell the expensive sup. runes. It's the minors and majors: if the merchant is selling for 100, it's only gonna get 25 to sell to the merchant, right? Thus selling the armor to merchant is better?

Also, what about the white armors? Salvage or sell?

Dont waste your time with white armors. Save yhour inventory space for blue or better. More efficient that way.

Pick up humps and hides since they stack and of course money. Don't pick up anything else.

you can salvage the white armors for crafting items like tanned squares etc. I mean sometimes you can get 5 tanned squares from 1 paladron (or whatever they are called).
