Not nerfed!!! lol you cant over farm. If you run the same spot for about 3 times or more the drops get really bad. So what i do is i alternate. 1st i farm trolls (3 runs), then i go to augry and farm griffons (3 runs), after taht i go ettin farming (3 runs). Griffon and Ettin farming are the most profitable, but i get a good amount from trolls and you have to let spots go so they can "restock". This way each place has 3 runs then 6 non runs. Works like a charm. The way i have my builds Troll and Griffon farms take about 5-8 min each (griffons get up to 10) so they are quick. It does take a lil longer with the Ettins but its really worth it. On my first run i get about 2-3 sups, and 4-5 majors. Dont really count the minors. Point being im soon going to be rich! LOL

For those asking about W/N farm build, i started with W/Mo and chaged to necro because can do it fast this way:

Death - 11
Strength - 9+1
Swordsmanship - 9+1
Tactics - 6+2

Skills

Virulence [E]
Doylak Signet
Healing Signet
Sever Artery
Savage Slash
Distracting Blow
Final Thrust
Sprint

Easy to use and fast to kill than all the W/mo i´ve used before, only limitation is agro no more than 3 ettins

I'm going to try this with my invincimonk, shouldn't b to hard, xpecially with shield of judgement doing 50 damage and knockin em down every time they hit me

If he starts from Bergen Hot Springs he can avoid all the Avicara Wild so it wouldn't really be a problem... there is a screenshot somewhere on the forum that tells you which route to take.

8 in healing prayers, 16 in sword and rest in strength...this is by far faster then the axe build. Try it out and I'm positive you will agree!

I also use glads armor, knights boots..sup vigor, sup absorption, sup sword and sup strength. My health is only at 380 but never ever falls below 7/8-3/4! I use a strength shield with a -2(stance) +-2(while enchanted), fiery dragon sword with a 15% always -5 energy, and +5 armor...works like a dream!

Well I tried this a few times, and here is what I have to say:
It *definatly* is faster for killing an ettin 1 on 1 than the axe build I posted before.
It *definatly* is slower for killing groups of 3 or more. I can kill 3 with my axe build in less time than it takes to kill 2 with the sword build.

Maybe it's just me (i'm not using a firey hilt) but I don't see this being too fast, and with 15 swords, I never hit for over 155 with final thrust, and with Eviscerate (sp) I can spike up to 137ish with 12 axe.

But whatever floats your boat

I like sword better for other areas, like FoW, but for ettins, the axe is king.

BTW I did this Battle Rage sword build in TA just for kicks. Replaced sprint with Rez. It was a blast. I was spiking the other team madly with Battle Rage. 3 consecutive wins, and I am a total PvP noob. (hate it for the most part)

I do a war mes for most farming.. I can take on as many ettins as I can group, same with min and griffs as well. He does fine with up to 6 hydras and piles of trolls so I am pretty happy with the build.

I do the sword thing

12 in each strength, tactics and sword 4 in inspiration

Hundred Blades (E)
riposte
deadly reposte
gash
final thrust
physical resistance
dolyak sig
healing sig

a few minor changes when I go against the hydras but it is a reasonably fast and sure fire never die way to farm most things that you want to farm.

sadly I have done the ettins lots and lots and never got anything better then a few sup monk runes.

4 Superior runes of vigor, 1 superior rune of absorption, 1 superior rune of divine favor, 8 major vigor, 4 major absorp, 1 superior fire magic, and the rest were garbage. All in the matter of 3 hours farming.

I like to aggro as many as I can because of my config to regain health more targets = better.
The most I have ever taken on because that is the most I could aggro was
12.
I tried different configurations and found this to my liking, as for the info providing disrupting their healing sig and then moving on to the next target and repeating = best tactic that I have been using for quite sometime.
Before yesterday the best drop I recieved was a superior monk rune, but yesterday was my luckiest day ever. I myself am blown away!

My build I use for ettins.
With runes minor strength, tactics, and Superior Axe.

Healing 8 (Live vicariously +8hlth, vigorous spirit +8hlth =16health per hit X number of opponents)
Strength 12 for dolyak stance (18sec +34 armor)
Axe 13 (cyclone axe +11, cleave +27)
Tactics 9 for my desert collectors shield.

Cyclone Axe
Cleave
Disrupting Chop
Sprint
Dolyak Sig
vig spirit
live vicariously
balth spirit

u will be sooo shocked at how much extra dmg the conjure does , even thought it says like +10 on your hits u can see (21,34) like thats 11 more than what it should do, its realy effective + much faster.

I farm ettin on occasion so i dont ever have a dry run

welll i dont know if they do but the thing was with conjure i was doing like 40-50 dmg on my normal strike and the ettins heath went down soooo fast without using my skills.

I start at beetletun just like evryone else and all yuo need to start off is a couple of dead lyxns or else you can take down one of the meregoyles for a corpse or two. then your good to go and kill ettins.
I did this yesterday (4 runs) three i got crap and 1 run i got 2 Superior Vigors.
Its a good build that works and I like it since i don't have a Warrior. I also have a Solo Ranger Ettin Farm Build if you wanna know about it tell me.
