I have no idea. Probably not, I just never had a reason to go over there except out of boredom today.

I find something new everytime I go to pre-sear. The River Drake has been there since the beginning I think. I missed him the first time, but saw him the second.
There's also a Skullreaver in the catacombs at the end of a long dead-end hallway. Happy hunting.

The nearest you can get to Wizards Folly in post sear is a busted old bridge near where the entrance should be. The folly and the surrounding area (a sort of mini shiverpeaks) look so nice it would be nice to get there again - just to see what's left standing. And also surely all the entrances to the catacombs were not destroyed ?
I guess the devs were trying to enforce the sense of loss caused by the searing. Problem is (imo) they made pre-searing almost too idyllic. Just makes all that devastation get a bit boring after a while. Lets face it, hadn't had enough of the same old scenery by the time they got to yaks ?

I think all the catacombs entrances ARE gone, I havent seen any open. I know the one by Baradins Estate is blocked off, think the one south of Estate is off-map, and inaccessible.

It wouldn't be so bad if post had areas that looked as different as pre did. Give us some real dark, grimy, burning areas that show that the charr raped the land and took it as their own instead of just kind of destroyed it and went back home. They also need a few very small areas that show a sample of the old glory of ascalon such as a nice cave or even just some grass under the shade of a ruin.
Give it some excitiment like Ascalon is giving their final strike in failing hope against the charr and losing. The first area really ruined my experience after pre with my first character and I had my second character run past it.

If you look closely at the north wall in the cave in Pre, you can see the foundations of the Great Wall.
I love the details.

IMO the presearing is one of the best designed areas in the game. IN fact, the Catacombs get my vote for BEST area in the game. So many cool different zones to it.

Its not that new. And as it remains there even if you kill it, (unlock Mack's bull) you can continue to fight is and get moderate exp at most levels.
I too have the same pictures of the cave you mentioned.
Do you have any idea where i took these screenshots!!??
