ditto

saw a party of 355 and a guy whose w/mo sign was in a light blue font. Gw is fallnig apart while factinos is being infused into it.

I wonder if the game could've been confused and shown the total number of players in the zone?
But more likely the game was just confused, period.

This last big update sure had unusually many bugs in it. Hell, there's bugs everywhere even now. I'm guessing nearly all their programmers are working on Factions, so only a few were assigned to deal with this update - and the result wasn't as smooth as one would have liked.

/wholeheartedly agrees
Like Bill Gates' strategy- program badly, market well.
~Ahem~
Joke, joking, don't... ban me. Please.
But hey, it's hard to alter a program and keep it up and running at the same time. Has Guild Wars ever undergone extended downtime? Ever? (Maybe it has, I dunno. >_< )
The fact that they're installing Factions without shutting the whole thing down is a wonder to me.

No, GW has never undergone extended downtime. Not since I started playing (which was one week after release) anyway. Actually I can't remember any actual downtime at all (although I've had instances crash on me a couple of times).

Pretty impressive technology.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know the maximum number of people that can fit in a district, and hence the most you could possibly fit into one group (ignoring the current cap at 8)

I think it depends on the size of the district. LA usually has a huge amount of people before they open another district, while Granite Citadel has a lot less.
