55 Mo/X are pretty much obsolete
After all, Mesmers have so much more style than them.
Clearing Behemoths...
Planes.
So it's nothing much new, but it was still kinda cool (until Jerrypants tried to cast a 4 second hex with less than half life and got r-spiked )
Soon as I find a way to finish last couple areas... your days are numbered, you monks and your oh-so-expensive 55-set runes

I've been known to go down with a level 16 mesmer tank with IW.
Anyways, nifty shots - I've always had a certain mixed fondness and hatred for mesmers. Depends on whose side they're on. >.>

Yep. Like when I tried to collect my behemoth loot, giving rise to the ascalonian saying :
'Even a 55'er can set off traps... once'
Also a few other monk skills.. he only has 3 Necro skills I believe.
I've also successfully taken groups of 3+ mindblades... tried 6 but got an unlucky interrupt so died . Terrorwebs are no risk either, the only reason we fail to complete ice king is too much aggro shifts onto the necro (and tanking 18 terrorwebs at once kinda stings.)
Current smite max : 15 (although I die very easily holding that many )

What do you think about instead of a 55 monk, a 55 ele comes along. Having a enchants last 20% longer+16 earth+Obsidian Fleash= 2 seconds the renew the cast ... And as you did have up there, shield of deflection FTW

55 Ele can't touch me, you get less regen (meaning mountain is a pain) because your necro has to be a N/Me for SV (it helps), meaning you get less res too!
Also, unless ele uses Mag aura or ward v melee they can't tank quite as much ^^
Sure, an ele would be very effective as a tank using OF, but you'd be slow, oh so slow after hitting it... and you lack the style. The high style.

Necro takes one, I take other... or I eat a rend like a man (ignore my character gender for a sec ) and re-enchant while under fire. It's not hard with fast casting (I run 12 fc on that build).

a) They're spread out more than that
b) Power drain is also my secondary energy management against terrorwebs, which do not give much energy at all.
c) I'd have to regen to 25 energy whenever I scouted an area, for PS + CoF

Not enough energy....????? energy storage.... a good 70 energy and using balth and essence.... Power drain, not needed. And why not use wards. But the main idea is unlimited Obsidian Fleash

Says under his breath "can hardly restrain myself from making transgender jokes aimed at the mesmer class"
*Busts out laughing*
Whooo mesmers in style? is this the 20's in Europe?
your attribute does give you the almost un-interuptable class but c'mon your backbone is really the monk skills
if you need help ask jerry for watchful spirit oops its in the 1st screeny

its true, without the monk skills, no class could tank the UW like that. we are the original 55s. and look how cute we are ^_^.
but still, props for being creative. if i enjoyed playing a mesmer, i might try it.

I've ran SS for a 55 Me/Mo in my guild before. Granted it was both our first time going down there and doing the 2-man thing...it took us a couple tries, but we made it to smites and cleared most of them.
Haven't done it with any Mo/X yet, so I don't know which was more efficient.
