Default Sapphire Drop in Arborstone Mission!

I was doing Arborstone with a PuG this afternoon, and to the surprise of me (and my teammates) a Stone Rain dropped a Sapphire!

Amazing. I got a ruby yesterday for the first time (after playing for almost a year!). Couldn't believe it. Apparently others are finding these as well if you check the rare material traders (prices are dropping...).

One time I got a ruby from a stone golem outside the serenity temple in ascalon... I think it's pretty much random.

I got a sapphire the first time i left ascalon (post-searing). I killed a devourer and it dropped but I wasn't surprised or anything because I didn't have a clue what it was or of its value. A coupe of days later i discovered the CTRL button and the rare material trader gave me 13k for it.

In FoW me and a team entered, after 5 mins a ruby drops we were all stunned.
Then, we failed and tried again, 5 mins later another one dropped.

not to flame this post but wiki for the rescue:
Sapphires and Rubies are probably the rarest crafting materials in the game. They are even harder to find then Ectoplasm. They are usually found in the Underworld or Fissure of Woe, but there have been reports of them found in other areas of the game too, such as Sorrow's Furnace and from the imps in and around the Sanctum Cay mission. There has also been a sighting of them being dropped by Rock Fist, in Ascalon.

i got one outside LA from a fire imp.

basicly...random drop.
