It seemed impossible after 2 monks and a warrior dropped earlier in the mission... but Kanaxai was defeated by only 9 people! We thought it was pretty damn amazing, so as requested by everyone in the party... here's the screenshot of our victory!

As always, it was a pleasure playing with you guys. Hope to do it again soon!

Great! But..how does the complete mission takes? I heard about 3-4 hours, is that true?

Actually, we only had one monk with Heal Party in the end... can't remember why, but one didn't bring it. A few of us got to that area with DP, some more severe than others, but I don't think we had a single death during the battle.

And yes, depending on how things go, the mission does usually take around 3-4 hours to complete. Never really timed it...

We did it with 3 and a rit.. but 2 monks dropped fairly early and 3 monks throughout was overkill..

it takes about 3h, reached the very end once, but one player had forgotten the shatter enchants, we were doomed.

Yeah, we started out with four monks. I agree that many aren't always needed (most of our runs I've usually played one and there are places where some of us don't have to do a thing), but I'd rather have extra in case some drop, like this run. I've had times though where even the four monks couldn't handle healing in some places too, though.

One of the monks left right before the Aspect of Failure, and we figured we'd just go and see how far we could get, and if I remember correctly the warrior and the other monk quit in the Scorpion Aspect when things got a bit messy. Since it was the last run for everyone that night, we decided to see how far we could get.

I don't think any of us really expected to beat it, especially when we confirmed that one of the monks left was using a full protection build (which was why he didn't have heal party). In the end it almost seemed easier than when we had twelve, only one death during the whole final battle, and that was while they were trying to get things set up.

As to the second part of the quote above, though... I'm curious how three monks throughout was overkill if two of them dropped early on..

Great fun, as usual though, but it's kinda funny how all the first-timers we bring down there seem to get the drops (at least, I know one of them hadn't ever gotten to that point before..). =P

I'd also like to mention that only a few of us were on TS, and even then it was all random chatter. So much for needing that to beat the place.

No oni or nighmare corpose , you killed him with vampiric.

i guess one of monk was spamming hp under bip influence , while the other one healing the tank.

in this light look it look much less incredible

but good job anyway

Well for the time we had the 3 it was overkill, not sure what I was thinking when I typed that though.. one monk dropped fairly early, and the other dropped near the end (a room before or at Kanaxai) is what I meant to put..

Actually, if you look behind the rit... the grey lump you see is an oni corpse.

Also note how what appears to be the final blow was from my fire wand. I've never tried the vampiric method, but I believe you would see -0 instead of -5 if we killed him with vamp since I only came packing wands and staffs.

Was your rit using feast of souls? I'm convinced spirit spamming + feast would work so well here, except I can never convince my group to take it

We had one of our heal monks drop early and then the mesmer dropped just before the final room. In fact, we ALWAYS have a monk drop (sometimes it is me when I monk
