My friend and I kept getting into PUGs and failing miserably at Rujiyo's mini-missions. Eventually we gave up and just on a whim, tried it on our own (with some henchies, for fun we thought!).

Believe it or not it was much easier this way. Although it took us quite a long time to finish the mission (probably around 2 hours!), we were never in too much danger.

We did this on the Jaya Bluffs version (we had tried Haiju Lagoon earlier with PUGs and by time we tried ourselves it had switched to Jaya Bluffs).

The henchies are only level 3, but as I'm sure you've noticed by now they duplicate themselves for this mission (so you have 4 henchies all level 3). They actually helped quite a bit. At times they served as one-hit speed bumps that let me close the necessary distance without taking a free hit; at other times the assassins (when the monsters were focused on me) did respectable poison damage (considering they are level 3's attacking level 28's!).

We brought non-sig rezes because there was a lot of dying; and I have to give credit to my friend he really made it all possible. Mesmers rule against Fingers of Chaos (as long as there is enough room to move around in, which means not in Tomb Ruins

). I was there mostly to tank and not do much damage (though against the Grasps Of Insanity I was hurting them pretty good). I basically stayed between him and the critters at all times and if he went down I made sure I got away to rez the group.

We didn't get much (the advertised 50 orbs) but it was a fun challenge and I'm glad we did it.

I have tried it, but they didn't even hurt the monsters. Like you said, they are just one hit speedbumps, so you have at least 5 seconds more to kill something.

Congratz for completing the quest. You are about 100 times better than me. My lvl 18 A/Me could hardily hurt them

I'd soloed all the other quests, so I took my warrior to Jaya Bluffs... and quickly realized that that is one quest you do not solo. Didn't even bother trying with the lvl 3 henches, but I'm going to do so now!

from what ive heard you only get 50,Orb's from that new Quest/mission thing it's not realy worth effort if 50,Orbs all you get ill rather make new char and get like 200Orbs from those 3-4Quests you get..

Did they move the quest to Jaya Bluffs or is it a succession? Maybe it is progressing daily and on the last day will end up somewhere crazy fighting a chaos dragon.
