I've learned something new. Dying a platinum blade is a waste of time.

dying a Emblazoned defender and embossed eagis has no effect (exept the fact that your inventory will have one dye less )

Wait, does this mean you can dye the other endgame green items? Like the Exalted Aegis? Oooh this is worth trying! >_>

Anyone got a fire staff or air staff dyed? (the old-skool skins, not the new ones)

The old school skins, if you are refering to the twisted branch looking thing, are uneffected by dye if memory serves. Either that or it's so minute I fail to notice any change.

O.o can wayward wand green dye? (guessing no)
If one can dye either the handle or the orb, I might consider getting one.

Holy Staffs do NOT dye. I've tried dying my faction collector's healing staffs and the dye will not take (ie the dye isn't even consumed).
I am very disappointed

Actually dying an emblazoned defender does work. It dyes silver very well.

dying a embossed aegis black makes it a silverish colour with black shadows kinda, i'll post a pic if i can find my aegis
Dyed black sheild and silver flamberge, doesn't change anything on the flamberge sadly

holy staffs do dye very very slightly, they stay the same basic colour with a tiny tint of the dye you used on it, well the port sledge collecter staff does anyway

The mesmer inscribed staves from Ch1 use the same skin (the "dead tree" skin). I dyed my inscribed staff silver, and while it looks silver in the inventory slot, there's no actual change to the looks when you have it equipped.

I don't think it does. I dyed one and it's still animated. Actually, I was going to post it in this thread anyway...
Dye mix is either blue+green or blue+green+green, I forget which.

Dye it silver and you'll see a very obvious change.
