I messed around with some of my Skeleton/Skull shields last night. You can dye them but the effect is very faint. You can really only see the difference in the 'cheeks' of the shield.

Mournblade: Imagines pink cheaked skeleton shield. :XD And nice dyed white sythe or whichever weapon it is.

animal secks: I shall definitely be dying my bone staff black since the evidence seems pretty clear from your image. I wonder if it looks metalic when dyed silver. If anyone knows please do tell.

Zero G: I will be buying silver dye for my bow as soon as I get on if it means it looks like that.

LOL I didn't try red - I bet it would look just like rosy pink cheeks. I'll have to try that when I get home now. =)

Once saw a group of warriors with snot green dyed armor. Wish I had taken a screenshot. Must be new statues effect.

Maybe someone will find this helpful:

Domination cane and jeweled chalice dyed silver.

As I recall, the Holy Rod also dyes a nice silver.

I've never really seen those types of cane or chalice in basic colours. But mainly because they aren't my prefered choice of offhand or cane.

Got a shadow shield recently... =)

Couldn't bring myself to try black or silver. I'm not quite wealthy enough to 'play' with those colors yet. =)

For those having issues with animation stopping after dying... i tried dying my Storm Bow pink to match my ranger outfit and needless to say it stopped the animation. I used a dye remover after and it darkened it back out again cuz it had lightened a bit when i dyed it. The animation still wouldn't move. Needless to say i logged completely off Guild Wars and ran Window Washer (build 6 is what i have) and after logged back in and the animation is back. Needless to say i think it could be something in the temp internet files or something or whatever i dunno. I just know my Storm Bow is animated again! Thought i would pass that along.

From what collector did you get that, since i have a collector cruse staff i got somewhere in the Echovald forest and it simply does not accept dye

Just a heads up, Healing and Protection Rods crafted in Cantha (though having the same graphic as a Holy Rod) do not consume a vail of dye when applied.

so I'm stuck with gold, yuck

Yeah, I did notice that these two wands I crafted would refuse to dye -.-

Also, you can't dye Green items as far as I remember, so good luck with Drago's Flat Bow. :P

you didn't request it, but the Cleaver axe dyes pretty good, so I though I could post it here, not just the shaft but also the blade is coloured, here in the picture below I have shown you it, dyed in red, blue, orange, yellow, green and purple:

He meant "green items" Like a green Drago's Flat Bow. Or a Green Victo's Axe. As opposed to white (standard)/blue (mega cool)/purple (almost worth something)/gold (rare) and green (perfect set stats that are not changeable).
