Sapphire in Arborstone?!
I thought they only drop in FoW/UW! Even so, Arborstone isn't even a max level area...
What are the odds of that happening?

As already said, they drop anywhere. When I first played, I had a ruby and a saphire drop for me in ascalon.
Was doing arborstone on my sin the other day and a saphire dropped for another player.

Rubys and Sapps acutally have a decent chance of dropping off Stone enemies, and other enemies in the same zone as Stone type enemies.

Probably could've sold it for more at the Rare Materials Merchant.

No, it's not. It just has a map name called "The Underworld", but does not actually have anything to do with the actual Underworld.

It might as well be, since Ecto's drop there as well.

It seems to me that the chances of jewel drops in arborstone are slightly increased compared to most other areas (as in ~0.2% instead of ~0.1% or something like that; note that those numbers are only figurative and not based on any research). You read quite a lot of reports of them dropping there (in fact, I had one drop there myself). Anyone wanna figure out a solo farming build for that place and do some drop rate research?

Got this drop on the Shing Jea Starter Island in Factions in the beginning of it's release. Found it weird back then though.
