"brain brain take us away ~ take us away far away" haha how braindead can I be xD I seem to degenerate more every week >_> I guess I assumed that since *I'm* not apparently going anywhere to party, nobody else is going either xD. Please hit me with blung objects.
Then again the tmw party would be a good excuse to get home, so I'm pretty sure I'm going to attend, at least for a while.
Hmm and so this wouldn't become just a chatroom, haev sum..

Just.... agh. XD I so cracked up at Djarom. He always does the funniest of things. <3 Your necro is hawt too, Noanoa.
Flawed Perfectien, I quite like your outtakes. The first one has a lot of drama and interesting colours, but the big blue boss kind of overshadows your own character. Like the djinn in the other submission, the boss draws too much attention away from your character.
The second one is my favourite I think. It looks like you're clashing shields with that charr, battling over who's the master of the land. Very nice!

Here are some out-takes from last weeks assignment:
Mucking around with poses... I thought this one was more dynamic than the one I ended up using, but I couldn't get a nice shot with it in the Domain of Pain. I decided to go with the shot I did because it had the best overall feel.
Playing with the Illusionary Weaponry animation with the idea being that illusions are the weaponry for mesmers. The animation looked great with the tormented shield (when it was shining right). This shot was in the Depths of Madness, it has better light quality than the Domain of Pain, but the colours weren't working for me like they were in Pain.
Similar to the shot above, I really liked this pose but ended up going with Willcrusher instead. This is, imo, a great shot but really shows how hard the light was to work with in the Domain of Pain.
This is a really interesting shot, but of no value for the assignment.
Just to prove that Assassins aren't the only class that can use two weapons

Nice shots Julius - love the colors
I guess now it's safe to post my outtakes too
I thought this was supposed to be pg
I swear it doesn't hurt when I do it Ma!
have sparkles, will travel. (I swear Billy isn't gay! Promise <3)
This was my favorite shot, but I was just way too small. I call it 'TinkerBilly Slay's the Giant' - FYI that is a Cracked Mesa, in case you were wondering

Love that last shot Lucy! If I didn't know that the judges would slam you for having a creature in shot I would have said use it... go go Billy the Fearless!

Damn bear xD.
"put your hands above your head and face the wall"
One that I *almost* sent in, but I wasn't too sure about the spirit so >_>. I was kinda surprised that our weapons actually had to show (good thing I didn't submit those tiny Jeweled Daggers xD), I would have cropped my proper submission better.

The top one of Djarom is gorgeous and the spirit really adds to the image... why didn't you use that one?

I felt that the judges wouldn't like that distorted upper body nor the spirit >_> though it looks so much more spectacular compared to my actual submission
(Julius, I love your shots, your character is <3<3<3)

I think I might have to do a pat down... you know... just in case he's hiding something under his clothes.
I do love that first shot Noa, it just looks so ethereal and pretty.
I love your last shot Billy! He just looks like he's going to carve away a mountain with toothpicks. I can just hear a "Hiiiiyah!" in the background.

Again appologies for needing to be logged in to see my shots.
some different poses, however, the backgrounds seem to swallow up my wand or focus ....so I didnt use these (wonder what my scores would have been if I had????)

Awwww i really feel like you actually didn't choose the right shot now :/ I'm really liking those better... they have more character especially the last one and the hill didn't look so harmonious on your sent shot either imo because it wasn't completely covering your picture like in those here.
the pose is good though really. I think the biggest problem really was the scenery on the one you sent ... the hill was bugging me the most. Really liking the 3rd ( the angle there really ads to the action feeling) and last one here much better
( weapons are even more visible close shot makes you much more dominant and the scenery is better too and still simple)
Ohhh and Szei you should have sent the first pic too imo XD ! it looks really good.

@cosyfiep
The posture in the 213a picture ist very good. A more striking background and it would be a very good picture.
I love both competitions, but the guys rock!!
Are you all really guys playing guy characters? It is kind of hard to believe that guys actually have some sense of aesthetics o.O!!

Hmm they might be right but here lemme give you some advice you might wanna use or not of course ;p
Remember while art is truly something technical (same goes for modeling)and analising your picture is also important it's still allot more about emotions and romance ;D. So don't overanalise too much like you would do on a science subject It's much more instinctive.

ratios and perspective are just excuses for lack of artistry. Its a nice shot, but lack of character/personality/energy. Nothing feels like its moving. You can do much better Cosy.
thank god for impressionism

What designers is that? There are still plenty of gals there aswell. Personally I don't believe there is any difference in the sense of aesthetics between males and females. There are only differences between individuals. This is an age old topic tho.
The only 'artistic' field I can think of that is definatelly male dominant atm is the game and 3D industry. But the lads better prepare for some changes there!
