Hey,

Getting my monk PvP ready, and I'm looking for some nice equipment. Too bad I'm a PvE newb, and I have no clue what looks good

I have some shields, but I need a good looking spear (Prices don't matter).

I'm also looking for the best looking prot wand and offhand. (Got torment staff already) This is for my high prot set.

Then I also need a HEALING wand that goes perfectly with a Blessed Chalice offhand

Any suggestions + pictures?

Best spears are: Serrated, Greater Guardian, Tormented, Voltaic and... draconic i think... the one that drops from kinslayers chest.

Good wands... I would go with the green one from the spider boss in the desolation. 20/20 Healing prayers and looks sick, but I dunno if itll go with blessed chalice.

For a High Set... mebbe destroyer?

Best spears I would say, VS or serrated.

I will assume you are doing RA, imo, it is best to use minor vigors ( no majors or sup, the more health the better)

Use as many health runes/ insginias as you can

Most people think energy is better but it is not, and having lower energy when monking, you learn to watch your energy and use it for more use

he means minor runes, and a superior vigor is the only superior rune you should have.
plus as the others have said don't use energy runes and insignias, more energy is not energy management. i run with base energy just fine.

Take Disciple's insigias at least on your chest and legs. The +15 AL while conditioned will far outweigh the benefits of an extra 25 hp, even though you won't be conditioned all the time.

Edit: Also, pack a protection prayers staff with 40% Halves Casting Time of Protection prayers spells and 20% enchanting mods to cast guardian on.

As far as the spears go, I've always liked Nightmare, and it's cheap because nobody else likes it. If you can make yourself sit through BMP stuff I also like the Tengu, but I can't bring myself to do it anymore. Or just follow the crowd and get the Voltaic.

For the healing wand I really like asuran. :P I think it goes well with the blessed chalice.
