Steve Irwin was a great guy. He loved animals and did everything he could to save them and educate the rest of us about them. He was truly legendary, and he died doing what he loved. I'm sure that's at least some consolation to his family. I mean, it would just feel sort of...wrong, if he had died in a car accident or something wouldn't it?

R.I.P. Steve, you were a great guy, and will forever be missed by all. Wherever you are now, I hope you're still able to do what you love. R.I.P. Steve, R.I.P.

Great environmentalist.. most of his cash went to the Australian Zoo and to protect the environment and conservatory..

i agree with that too.

how can i feel sad for princess di, jfk jnr, tupac, aaliyah or even steve erwin when there are billions ppl with sad fxked up life?? we should take a closer look at those living in 3rd world country n disabled ppl.

personally i would rather live like king for 30 years than live like bum for 100 years.

it pisses off that most very rich ppl r just greedy n pure evil, at least di n steve were good ppl. R I P

Actually, this is going to sound bad, but having read all the reports, he did a really really stupid thing when he pulled the barb out. The first rule of first aid in the field is to leave large embedded objects exactly where they are until qualified surgeons can take care of it.

For all the Aussies out there who DON'T know yet, Peter Brook - V8 car racer, turned rally driver died in a car accident this morning on a rally track in Perth.

RIP to two Aussie icons in the SAME week.
