To be honest, and please do not take this as sarcasm:
It's actually quite the way to go for him. He films animals, often handles dangerous ones, goes about them freely, whilst knowing he is in danger.
This was bound to happen, with all due respect. (I loved his show).
This is a fitting way to go for a man in his profession. He could have been killed in a car accident. now THAT would have been an anticlimax. Or food poisoning. Or a sudden stroke.
but he got stung by one of the animals he works with on a daily basis. Well, that was the risk, and he took it. So I don't think he'd be very upset about the way it happened himself. I just wished it would have happened a LOT later, after having lived a good life. 44 is way too young to go...
R.I.P. Steve, G'day mate! All the best and strenght to your family.

Ya know, I don't know why he would stay on that career path after having a kid. Such a dangerous path, and now his kid is fatherless forever.

I think it's great that people from different areas, just playing a game, think enough of someone to pay a tribute like that.
Well done Malvaeus

(crosspost with http://www.theamazonbasin.com/gw/for...showtopic=6458)
There was a memorial service that took place this morning at 11:15 am CDT at Fisherman's Haeven, honoring the cherished life of Steve Irwin, the Crocidile Hunter. He was loved by many, and brought many smiles across the world.
Rest in Peace my friend :innocent:
A Tribute...

I know that in about on from now, for the rest of the existance of humans, Irwin be looked at as legend, alot like all those people in the stories, I bet he will, as an invincible animal lover.

Sad tragedy, he was a great guy doing things unimaginable with dangerous animals. Because of him zoos were built and many animals were saved and taught people to care for animals as well as educate. R.I.P.
