I really, really hate most of the nightfall armors. For the most part, the starting armors for all classes aren't bad. The eles get a couple of decent armors (15k elite isn't bad), so far what I've seen of mesmers isn't too terrible either, and dervish armor is ftw but everything else - yuck. They all look so cheap and tacky.

This is the first time I've ever seen 15k armor of some kind and not wanted it.

um why all the badmouthing...nobody asks you to buy it if you don't like it.

It's probably because we aren't used to African style artwork that all the complaints are occuring.

Prophecies = European/medieval type armor <-- already done in European/USA games
Factions = Asian type armor <-- already done in Korean games
Nightfall = Middle Eastern/African influenced armor <-- not really done in games

I wanted end game female monk armor sooo much because i thought it would be awsome. But when i saw them, its the worst armor ever. Its a shame to wear it, like alot of the other end game 15k armors to. They are pure ugly! Atleast i think so.

What did the design team think of when they made these?

Its my opinion though, maybe others like the end game armors but i dont :P

That is something new. I guess if you want an aquatic look you got it, but otherwise steer clear. im not going to get it for my guy thats for sure.
