Blade Axes are cooler imo. Also, Blade Axes can have their prefixes upgraded ^^

Used this weapon alot for the dead in the First City.
Crippling Elonoian Blade of Deathbane
Slashing Damage 13-19 (Req 11 Sword)
Lengthens Crippling Duration on Foes 33%
Damage +19% vs Dead

Used this Scimitar (dam lucky find) most of game.
Barbed Crude Scimitar of Shelter
Slashing Damage 15-21 (Req 7 Sword)
Lengthens Bleeding Duration on Foes 33%
Armor +6 Vs Physical Attacks

Picked up this really nice axe (don't use it tho) Perfect for W/Mo
Fiery Blade Axe of Enchanting
Fire Damage 6-20 (Req 8 Axe)
Damage +14% While Under an Enchantment
Enchantments Last 20% Longer

I don't see what all the hype about the fiery gladius is about.

The Fiery Dragon sword is so much better looking: The cool Dragon handle, the kind of crossed Points surrounded by fire that makes the blade look like its purely made of fire; Its just so much better in every respect!

The fiery Gladius just looks like a pretty small, basic looking sword with a tacky looking glow around it that doesn't even look like fire.

I can understand that its a new skin and people are excited about it; its a bit different to a normal blade, a bit out of the ordinary, but Coolest weapon in GW ever? I think not.

have u seen it ingame? looks alot better when your swinging it around.

Like i said, they are just embelishments on the basic scimitar design.

from the screens so far of the collosal scimitar it doesnt look very well done. looks like the ripped it straight off the rack and didnt bother to retouch it.

Man, a lot of the new weapons are sooooo drool-inducing. And I'm very glad that swords are big again (or at least not little knives) and that casters get stuff that looks cool!
