Some axes have a minimum of 7 so I guess... um... it can happen with any weapon?

Hmm... I guess it would only be a big deal if it was max dmg. But since their are no 7-28 max dmg axes I guess we won't be finding any 10-41 scythes

Actually, weapons with low minimum damage are like this only. You'll nevver see a 16-xx sword, 20-xx hammer, 16-xx bow, etc.

Ok, now that this thread is old, I'm wondering if anyone found a scythe like this? I found another 10-26 but merched it. Just want to know if this might be "rare"

It's not uncommon for non-max weapons to have a higher minimum damage rating, but you'll never find a max weapon with the same modification.

As far as I know it only happens only with axes and scythes, and only occurs well below max damage- low enough to not be worthwhile over a max weapon, at least.
