Oh, ya I feel your pain- salvaged my 15k glads gloves of superior vigor and got 9 iron (not steel, iron) ingots. Took me a few minutes to recover from that.

What hurts even more is I got the stupid minor runes off no problem, it was just that one rune that did that...and ya, changed my monk to a 600ish build and lost 2 of the ruins (got feathers from one of them...), but thank god they arn't going for 20+k now lol.

If I remember correctly, I got ~70 wood planks off a pretty valuable "Highly Salvageable" bow, when I was farming Trolls this past summer. I think it was 68, I'll look for a screen when I get home...
