With the advent of Factions, I discovered that the pursuit of ever-flashier armour didn't sit right with me. The fancier armour became prevalent.

Well done, Nexus. I always thought the chainmail was the best-looking armor. I also am in love with that shield skin. The sword, however, not my style. I have a sick obsession with Sephis axes... and no, not because of rarity or anything.

I had one before Factions came out and used to use it for the challenge since it was not maxed. Never really bought one after Factions came out to make it max.

I think expensive armors are needed while pve. Peope invite someone in FoW to group instead of ringmail. You pleayed this game far more than me(as I understand from titles). But no one can understand this. No one can say it has little affect. When I bought kurzick 15k armor I started finding group double easy than 1.5k one. When I dyed it black it become easier again. Sometimes people say you are you sure that you can affort it?

To prove that armour is not a way to accurately judge a player's in-game accomplishments.
Too many people go for armour simply because it's expensive. A lot of people see expensive armour as some kind of badge of merit.
I've been there, done that, got the hauberk thank you very much.
Now I prefer to settle for something that accentuates my character and sets him apart from the hordes of cookie cutter FoW warriors.
Besides, that set is just a lot more comfortable in the desert
