Akh hit it right on the head. Once you get exactly what you want to use, why NOT customize? If there is nothing better (in your opinion), why would you ever replace what you have?
Collecting weapons, and having a substantial amount of usable, personalized weapons is a different thing, and cannot be compared directly IMO.

LoL, it took ank to say what I've been trying to get across >_< I mean seriously, as 15>50 fellblade is a dime a dozen nowadays, you can get a req 13 for 20-30k in LA, get that for you warrior if you feel that your ranger needs that perfect sword. (note that i'm not telling or ordering you but making a point).
what I'm trying to say is that at some point, there is no sense in leaving something as is for their value when they don't sell for much nowadays, and some are so rare than unless you really don't want em, you should've either sold it by now or custo'd it. There is no point is handicapping yourself w/ a perfect weapon that isn't doing the most or having it sit on your storage collecting dust.
Although I can understand some people get the satisfaction of looking at their items in storage as a self worship/praise "oh yeah, who the rich daddy?!" then more power to them, w/e is fun for you to play the game. Although if you're actually using it, I'd rather as a fellow gamer give you an advice to find a clean max req 8 weapon and put non perfect cheap mods and custoing that weapon, I guarantee you'll be atlest 5% more effective and in somecases more. That is if you're really bent on saving money; ironically, these people w/ arguments about monetary value are also the ones who have money to buy saveral items of the same perfect stats :\

i mean with some items its idiotic. items worth 1-2 million, there may not be much sense in it for most people, since that kind of money to the average player is substantial. but if you have an item like a perfect serpant, dwarven, crystalline or whatever, why would you sell it? i mean, te whole point of having ecto/gold is to buy nice things, and if you have the nicest of them all, theres no going up the ladder. unless of course you're so poor you cant even afford droks and whatnot...in which case selling ti and buying a crappy skinned weapon and droks armor may be the wiser choice. but once you get wealthy and discard those bottom-of-the-pyramid items you may end up regretting the decision.

^ agree
People cant see how much gold you own but certainly can see the type of armor and weapon you carry (i.e Fissure armor and crystalline sword) ^_^

once you got everything you ever want in GW, money become just a bunch of numbers for you and they dont mean anything for you anymore.<like Bill Gate > If you sell your item of dream, you might not able to buy it back, and you have too much money that you can hardly spend up. So i think that customized millions worth of itmes are the logical choice, you dont just play or trade for money or itmes you will never use, you make money to buy items you will actually use just my 2 cents tho

I think its EXTREMLY useless to coustomize caster weapons. C'mon, who needs the 20% more dmg while just casting your little balls. You need the spell buffs for casters, and if you find more skins and what not youll want them more. For melee characters is completly understandable and necessary. Assassin, ranger, warrior, all these characters have a lot of time where they are just attacking and not using skills. When they DO use skills the 20% certainly helps a lot. I coustomized my Sundering Shadow Bow of Fortitude because i use it for most any situation/build. Although i do need a staff for running and trapping, whats good mods for those?

Summit Axe collection
Not saying that I'm the only person in-game with such a collection, but after three months of searching and hundreds of thousands spent on acquiring these axes, I believe they deserve a spot here...
My favourite and one of the most difficult to get hold of:
Post-Factions value of collection is currently being processed. PC thread may be viewed here:
