I'm not so sure about that... PUG's still constantly ask to see my crystalline swords
whenever my warrior uses them. I get no such reaction with fellblades, shadowblades,
etc...

Just a few of my hammers. Nothing that special but I like them none the less. I really should mod them but I dont spend much time in-game to do that these days Ill add part two of the collection once I have finished it.

It was a bug that you could use to get rid of the -1 hp or -1 energy regeneration on rare items in the beginning of the game

No it's not? In the very early beginning of the game, unconditional damage mods could be dropped. So it's just a very early weapon.

Actually, the -1 hp or energy regen could be replaced by adding a vampiric or zealous upgrade and replacing that one..

So no, they did not drop unconditional afaik
