Thank you. I like that armor too, since it's a very light-coloured armor and always looks so wonderfully snug and soft.

A very good point. It's very inspiring and fun to see other contestant's photos that they haven't quite used, and it would be a pity to have so many wonderful photos just gathering dust on the hard-drive. Still, posting kind of "secondary" images could have the effect of swaying the judges. I have faith in our judges though, so I hope this doesn't happen.

Well, true... but at least their sacrifice wasn't for nothing. I doubt there's any synthetic damage-resistant lightweight material or warm synthetic fibers around Guild Wars, so leather and furs it'll have to be to keep a character warm on those cold nights in the mountains of Shing Jea Island and Shiverpeaks. All the materials are 100% self-hunted from the wilds by taking only what is needed, no killing poor cage-grown animals for my ranger.
(I have two wonderful minilop rabbits as pets at home though, so I totally agree that killing bunnies is bad!)
Oh, and a question to all the entrants. Where do you hail from? Europe, America or somewhere else (no need to get more specific)? I think it would be fun to try to arrange some kind of groupshot, even if not everyone can make it. It doesn't have to be for any assignment, only as a fun extra thing to do. We could also have group shots according to the continents if everyone can't make it to a big meeting due to time differences. I myself am from Europe and will be able to come to a possible groupshot on weekends at least.

America - and eastern time =) Problem is im about to go home for christmas break, and I won't be online all that much, beacuse we have...the dreaded...dial up but if we could plan something that's late at night - I should be fine with that - I just can't fight with everyone in the house during the daytime.
I love the idea though!!

I hope that means you can still participate during the holidays, I did make note somewhere during the application process that a Holiday photoshoot assignment would be mandatory during December. I think it will be on week three of the competition...i dont know, but if you dont particpate, you will have a high chance of being eliminated! Only way you wont is if your past work has been some of the best or if you win immunity for that week, more on that will be explained later.
Anyways, ***Friday*** is the deadline for Photoshoot 01, so if you haven't turned it in, please do so in a timely manner! (sorry for scaring all you procrastinators! it is the 15th, not 14th, my fault lol)

No, I can get on, I just can't be available during my daytime very much, mainly beacuse my grandma likes to talk on the phone....a lot. and my mom likes to check her e-mail 12 times a day - so its hard during the day to find a time were the phone line isn't being used. So basically i will be changing my sleep scedule drastically - and i will be staying up late to get the phone line, and then sleeping all day while everyone else uses it

lol, dont worry, things will speed up real fast...this week is just slow cause we were a little ahead schedule....but usually, this it how the process will work for each normal week...
Fridays - Photoshoot due
Saturday - Judges Deliberate
Sundays - Evaluations posted
Monday - Eliminated contestant Revealed and Next Photoshoot Assigned
Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday - Contestant's time to work on photoshoot.
Repeat All until three are left.
That should be the schedule that we will follow after this week, unless something drastic happens, which I don't think it will...
And as for the Tyria's Next Top Male Model, I have been thinking about it, as some of you know, I have been working on my male monk character to get him up to par so if I do choose to do a male version, he will be the "host" i guess you could say lol But i'm not sure yet...either way, another contest wont be held any time soon, i want to see how this version will do first!

Heheh, some more Quebec praising from here. Used to live there too, lovely place.
Anyway, it seems that there are quite a bit of people from the eastern side of North America. :3 Maybe if we have a photoshoot in the International District some weekend, around 11 pm -5 GMT (which should cover eastern North America nicely...). This would mean that I have to wake up at six am my own time, but... small price to pay. Models hold tough hours anyway when working.
How would this sound? Would it be possible already this weekend? I will be available at least on saturday and sunday mornings, which would be friday and saturday evenings there.
And Tyria male model contest would be great! I don't have a male character myself, but it'd be fun to follow it.

That will be much faster paced! I will definatly have to change my sleep scedule around so i can stay up to get good shots!
I am looking forward to a Holiday assignment though, that will be so fun

The eastern time sounds good. Just depends on the other contestants. Haha, we could always break the rule and photoshop in the people who couldnt make it. ^^

I would just like to take the time to remind everyone that the contest is closed for new applicants as the 12 contestants were already chosen. Do not post any more applications here.
As for the male verson of the contest... If there is going to be one it'll be posted, please just wait for it.
Please keep the spam in here as little as possible so I dont have to come in here and close a great thread.

so i didnt make it? :/
edit: i agree that there shouldnt be spam. but me submitting my pictures when the threadtitle + the main post still said that the contest was on til the 15th is not spam? im in gmt +2, so IF by any chance, it was the 15th when i posted (which dosnt make sense, cauz im 2hours ahead of greanrich or w/e its called, so im ahead of ur time right?) then im sorry for spamming. i hope that you got my email though, so im still in the contest.
