beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Doesn't matter if you're a girl or not. I personally, find you mesmer the most sophisticated and elegant of the bunch. Maybe because Im queer? jkz//

A lot of concerns about applications were raised, and all I can say is follow our application guidelines which can be found on the first post here and use your best judgement.

I also want to make sure that everyone is aware that NOT everyone will be accepted in this competition. There has been some confusion on this competition, although it is true that anyone may apply for this competition, only 12 applications will be chosen to move forward into the actual competition process.

Again, ANYONE and everyone is welcomed to apply, but ONLY 12 contestants will be chosen to move forward into the competition.

Hope this clears up some confusion, if there are any other questions/comments/and or concerns please bring them to my attention!

After much debate, we've decided to raised the number of accepted applications to twelve (12). And because of this raise in number, there's going to be changes to the competition.

We are keeping the dates the same since changing them could cause problems for applicants, but this will only mean there will be double eliminations, maybe once or twice during the chorus of the competition. Other changes include the Holiday screenshot which was suppose to be an optional bonus assignment for the Dec 24-30 week (we're assuming wintersday stuff will be out by then, so that should make for interesting shots), will now be a mandatory assignment, so I'm sorry to those who will be out during the holidays, but that will now be counted against you if you do not participate.

Other changes are we are not letting the public vote be the winning vote, it will only count as one vote out of five. We feel this is best because this isn't a popularity contest, and we don't want things to be unfair. The remaining four votes will be from the three judges and the final vote will be decided on later during the chorus of the competition. This way, there's no way of having a tie vote problem.

That's the update of the day, and remember, there is still time to apply, deadline is at exactly December 1, 2006. 12:00 am PST. Those who are chosen as contestants will be notified at latest December 06, 2006, and of course we'll post that info on the thread as well!

I think there's 67 people at the moment. Trust me when I say we cringe everytime new applications are sent in(not to discourage new applicants! lol)...we all have our favorites and top picks in mind, and when new people come, our opinions change and we have to go through more arguments over who should be where. Basically, what we will do is each individually pick our 12, then we hammer it out after the deadlines.

I didnt really want to support the changes since it really changed up how I was going to do things, plus, i think i rather save the two people for the possibly a next cycle. They have a better chance at winning and it gives me more leadway, but this is the direction we're going.

and Brandon1107, you can do whatever you want as long as you send me the required materials as well.

I guess you can swap out if you want, either way, no matter how many characters you may choose to show, in the end, you're gonna have to choose only one if you're chosen as a finalist.

Just make a note of which one you want to swap out and send me the info for the new character.

Only two more days till this thing actually gets underway, I'm so excited! lol I hope everyone, even those arent chosen/lurkers/etc, continue to be interested in the competition process! We hope to make this as fun and interesting as it can be!
