Ok...well, I'm sure everyone is anxious to see the results, but there's been a slight change in plans...here are the details...

After much anticipation, the applications of TNTM are at 53 applicants (21 Necromancers, 9 Mesmers, 7 Elementalists, 6 Ritualists, 4 Warriors, 3 Monks - Excluding One Male lol, 2 Rangers, and 0 Assassins). So I'm quite pleased with the results! I managed to narrow down my choices to 12 which myself and Co. agreed on. However...one thing that was brought up was the fact that Guild Wars Nightfalls would soon be released and the option of having a more well balanced group would surface for us. Also, this would give us more preparation time to plan out the types of photoshoots given, and we are also planning on adding weekly prizes (10k / Green items / Ectos / Etc) for the best photoshoot of the week to boost participation turn out. With that being said, I am going to put TNTM on Hiatus until after the Release of Nightfalls(Give or take, we would like to have players to have developed their future paragons/dervishes/other professions with new looks to lvl 20). We feel that going this route will be best!

So I apologize to each applicant! I did not mean to wate anyone's time. I would actually hope that those who sent me their applications will allow me to renew them when this competition starts!!! Of the 12 we had previously had selected, I really enjoyed reading their comments...I knew immediately afterwards that i wanted that individual in...to quote a few....

"I would like to participate so that if I win the title I could wish for world peace between all of cantha and tyria...especially the luxons and kurzicks..."
(lol, one thing i would like to point out that Modeling and Beauty Pageants are two different sects!!! so the whole world peace get up doesnt apply to modeling, however, i thought this was so amusing, and that it showed alot of personality)

(This is by far one of the best responses I had...this mock competition of TNTM is all about having fun. And to me...someone with this response clearly will have fun doing this competition.)

To be frank...I was really blown away with some of these responses, to post them all, is just too much, but really...everyone brought something unique to the table...and it was really hard. Some were very indearing and personal (truly touching), some were very serious, people even made references to the actual tv show, and of course others were just a riot.

But anyways, back on track...again, i DEFINITELY encourage those who already applied to apply again when I officially open the contest at the later date (to be determined). I have everyone's applications saved, so if you do reapply...i will just have you send me your character name/profession with "renewal" on the subject line or whatever...and I will definitely have a new questions so that new people cant copy reponses i posted above lol...anyways, again, I apologize, but I'm really hoping to have all those to apply, to do so again!!!

In short. Tyria's Next Top Model is now on Hiatus status, and will start at a later date (Estimated to be somtime in November).

Nilene, what about the people that entered ( that you chose to be in the contest ), that aren't getting Nightfall.. don't you think that's a little unfair?

[ Okay to be honest like 99% of the people ARE getting Nightfall, but like.. meh, me for example am not. WoW ftw ]

P.s I was hoping this little event could be the last thing I do before I get WoW, im afraid that won't happen now. :'(

Alot of issues did come up when we decided this, but we all agreed that holding the contest till later would be more beneficial to both us and the contestants.

I can see where not owning Prophecies/Factions/Nightfalls would be an issue, but when I came up with this idea, I tried to make it so not owning one or the other would be a problem. None of the photoshoot ideas required any particular location/npc/etc. For example...one shoot that I had planned was taking a photoshoot with the statues of the god representing your profession, and statues of Dwayna/Grenth/Melandru/Lyssa/Balthazar are ALL over Tyria/Cantha...so I try to keep the idea open for one's creativity and not be so restraint on the conditions/requirements.

And I'm sorry to hear that youre leaving for wow and will miss the oppurtunity for this event. On the flip side, hey you could probably do a version for wow, ive done a top model contest on Final Fantasy that was very fun...one of the absolute best photoshoot idea was making them take screenshots of themselves with a Notorious Monster (in gw terms, a boss). It was very interesting to see the results I had...lol But anyways, i hope you enjoy your new home at WoW!

The project is on Hiatus until further notice. Which means no, were in the process of revamping the whole thing, and waiting for Nightfalls to be release until we re-open.

Alright Everybody! The Competition is back in progress and Applications are being accepted again!

If you are interested, send a private message or an email to [email protected] with the following information:

1. In Game Name and Primary Profession As The Subject Line (you may submit applications for only two characters limit)
2. Answer to the question "What makes your character(s) unique?"
3. A Frontal View Screen Cap of your character(s) as an attatchment or link.

Previous entries will be accepted again and will be considered for possible contestants, please specifically mention on subject line that you were a previous entry with your character name. Only 10 applicants will be chosen to participate. Every week will require each contestants to take a screenshot of their character to fill for the theme of the week (no special outside help will be accepted, no fraps, no photoshop, etc, just print screen), and an elimination will follow afterwards until only three contestants remain, where then, there will be a public vote for the winner. There will be weekly prizes for the top screenshot of the week which will vary, and the winner of the competition voted by the public will receive 250K and a special prize.

The deadline is December 01, 2006. And the competition will span from December 10, 2006 till February 4, 2006. So make sure you are able to participate within that time before you apply!

Alright, I'm getting some good entries! With that, there were alot of interesting questions that were asked and I'll try to address some of them here...

Q: How will I be notified if I am chosen, and will I have to stay current with the forum?
A: You will be notified by email or private message (however you contacted me to begin with. I will need your email though, for that will be the way for me to distribute your photoshoot assignment and requirements guide lines. Staying current with the forums will be important, but you will not have because you will always be notified of your current standing in the competition whether youre still in or if you've been eliminated.

Q: Who are the judges and how will the voting work?
A: Basically, there are three of us, myself and two others. Voting will work like the show, first we will evaluate how your screenshot looks and will rank each photograph from 1-10/1-9/1-8/etc etc (depending on how many contestants are remaining) individually, after ranking, we will consider the q&a portion to change up some scores, and then the one with the lowest score will be voted off.

Q: Can we crop pictures?
A: Yes, what we want is a full size regular screen print and then a cropped version of that pic. Cropping the picture right can really effect the outcome of your picture and how it is perceived!

Q: How many people have entered so far?
A: lol, well, currently, I have 8 entries, i'm hoping for a decent turn out like last time, there's still plenty of time, so im keeping my fingers crossed!
