What's the OP's/moderators' opinion about posting more-or-less-vaguely-related shots in this thread? Don't know about everyone else, but I'm checking checking this thread several times a day and I love seeing new model pics and spoof shots and everything. It's still such a long wait until the deadline, too.. Someone suggested group practicing and/or practice assignments, I think it'd be a great way to pass time.

I so hope that Nian and/or Noanoa are among those chosen, because I can tell already that their artist abilities are transferring to some seriously badass shots. That male ritualist shot is just...damn. And Nian's "failures" make me chomp at the bit to see what she considers a success.

I want to make sure that everyone who is planning to apply understand that just because you send in an application for a paragon, does NOT mean you have a guarenteed spot in the competition! I said we didnt have any paragons apply, because we dont, it does not mean that if you enter a paragon you get a free pass in! Please do not misunderstand that!
And honestly, i can already tell you that of the 10 professions, only 7 of them had people that applied that we are interested in, so again, not every profession will be shown. And even then, of those group of people, only 12 will be selected, and for the record, profession has nothing to do with our choices. I mention the professions for statistic reasons, nothing more.
And I will agree with Nkah, that female players make the sexiest male characters lol, i have a couple of male characters myself, and i modeled them to my particular taste in men lol if im going to be staring at a male pixelated video game character, it better be eye candy! So definitely...my male characters are up to my standards lol
And I there is another screenshot thread somewhere that is somewhat like TNTM that males can enter, so guys can go over to that thread and stop spamming mines! :P im jk! but there is another screenshot thread somewhere that im sure males can enter...so take a look!

Exactly my point! I mean if you're going to choose to stare at a male characters ass ingame for a long time, might aswell choose a pretty one. Iah is certainly my dream bebe, well one of them and I'm very fond of playing him. Fell in love with his boyish haircut, it's like a Vin Diesel type of hunk with some boyish features, ahem. :P

XD I think this harbours an evil omen! Must see what I can do about this...mhehehe.
By the way, Lady Nilene I'm a bit curious if there have been any female Dervish applicants so far? I understand if you're not supposed to give too much info yet but I was just a bit curious of the new classes' popularity. Edit:Wait. Nevermind that. I should use my brains more often. Guess it's too late(night) for that now huh...XD
Edit2: Below yeah... that is so the truth about our guys haha. The Pinky and the Brain. Brawns and muscle vs. sensual and exotic lol. Anyway girls, if we don't make the cut our guys will be supporting you all mhahaha like leeches(on the lense)! >

Dedicated to Mortissia (we went out to get a quick photoshoot just for you )
Ok, we won't derail this anymore (I see a personal hottie thread in the horizon..), but I just realised that even if our girls don't make it into the 12, we can still hang around with our extremely photogenic guys and intrude upon other participants' photoshoots xD. If anyone ever needs professional male models for their shoots, just call.
Here's something I've noticed about several of the pics posted here; no cropping-> a really small character in the middle of the shot. A centered chara is like the most uninteresting thing ever, so something resembling the golden ratio looks much better always. Proper cropping ftw \o/.
Ooph that'll be all for tonight, "post moar!".

dude, i know what you mean about the hot male characters that girls make. and i agree with all the reasons xD Why would I want to make my dude ugly if I'll be playing him :P I so want to make a male rit, I just luuuurve their armor and how they look with the head gear omg *is in love with her boyfriend's rit >_>*
also...I'm not sure if I can make it cos of summer x_x;; I might be gone for a week...but I don't know! When is the cycle actually running? *has still held out on sending in her app*
Edit:
BTW, I looked at that golden ratio article to see what wiki had to say about it...it made my brain explode. I suggest not looking at it around 2 in the morning.

Lol! I thought that one was confusing too. Basically it means that to make a picture easily more appealing is to not center the main focus(the model) but instead make sure that the model and the background don't have equal amounts of space in the picture but not overdo it. The model should be slightly to the side of the picture but not too much! The golden ratio is something of an ideal ratio of how a picture should be divided if a line was drawn accross it. It's the same as humans tend to like unequal numbers more than equal. Like arranging 3 flowers in a flowerpot instead of 4.
Does that make sense lol?
L'Example Compositionnaire:
Centered and boring, the ratio here is 50-50 if you draw a line straight trough my model:
Too much to the side, unbalanced and disturbing :
Golden ratio(this should be found most appealing of the 3):
This is how the human subconcious work. We don't really think about this stuff but it helps. Hope that made some sense to someone. XD
Putting the main focus of a picture to the side will also increase the 'activity' in a picture. It will be more dynamic when done right.

Please remember this is a woman only model comp for now. And no one wants to see you naked pale skinned ele ^_^
Anyways been reading over the thread, seems people are keeping on topic and avoiding spamming.
We so far had to only delete very minor amount of spam.
For anyone that wonders, we (The mods) don't disallow discussions on the SS forums. But we had massive spam issues in the past, partially related to the pervious thread used by the TNTM.
Hope everyone understands that
If you want to dicuss it with me further, PM me, don't reply here.

@Nian: Oh I know about the golden ratio (i keep typing ration..) since my dad is a photoholic and kept telling me these things XD I just thought that the wiki article was a but..brain bursting >_> your explanation is much better xD
s'a good tip for cropping though. I have issues in whether or not the whole body should be shown or just the upper half like most post pictures

100% agree Natasha was a great guy... And I love Jaslene!
Sad to see no paragons. I love my paragon! The only thing I don't like about paragons and dervish's is that they can only get the NF armors & FoW, where as tyrian and canthan characters have so many more options.
I'm getting super excited to watch this cycle! Malefic will definitely be here cheering you ladies (or fellas behind the ladies) on!

Mitchel, do it! Create TNTMM - Tyria's Next Top Male Model!
Season 1: Derelicte!
There could even be snide one-upping campaigns between the two threads, culminating in a walkoff.

And to bring attention to an important topic...with Guild Wars coming to an end, well...not end...but whatever...we are certain that we will be able to do a third cycle, and possibly a fourth...but at that point, im sure Guild Wars wont be the same. I would love to move TNTM to Guild Wars 2, and we probably will, but I'm sure there is going to be alot of changes that we will have to note!
And I dont know why people are confusing this with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles...lol so please, stop the spam/jokes.

So if we turned in our app awhile ago, and we havent been contacting in-game...does that mean we arent a possible candidate? :x\

That is slightly correct... If you sent your application before March 27th-March 30th ~ish, then your application has been processed and if you did not get an in game interview with, then you will not be proceeding to the next round for sure.
For those who did not make it, do not feel bad, it was an extremely hard choice...but we really wanted to up the ante, and just bring fourth a new group of amazing contestants that will deliver and produce an amazing cycle. Cycle 1 really set the bar, they really brought the competition to a level where I couldn't even imagine, and I need Cycle 2 to be better! And the judges all believe that the 17 contestants we interviewed really had the goods, and five of them have already secured their position in cycle 2!!! Of course they are not allowed to post anything yet, so no one will know who until the start date begins! All I will say about the first five chosen is that they are two monks, one mesmer, one dervish, and one warrior! They blew me away in the interview and really deserved the spot hands down, very impressed! As for the other 12 we interviewed! Do not fret, you guys are still up for a spot in Cycle 2, but we are still flip flopping between you guys, and the newer applications we are getting!
So again, for those who did not make it, please do not feel bad, we really had to nitpick about every little detail and just aim for perfection! After the 15th, I will have open house i guess, so everyone can request how their application faired, and what we took off for, and so fourth!
As a reminder to our five confirmed contestants, please have your test shots in by the date mentioned! I need to prepare the new fade out picture and your shots ASAP.
