Hey there. Not any characters in these pics but I used the basic technique here with these scenery shots. Hope you enjoy.

Hey guys, Bethany here. I'm sorry for not being here more often than that, especially since I'm the thread's originator. Apart from my day-to-day work I'm also working as an assistant to my boyfriend who's a photographer. This, unfortunately, leaves me very little time to play Guild Wars these days.
But from time to time I do drop in and admire the work everyone is doing and, at the risk of repeating myself, I'm quite impressed. Some of you push the boundaries and explore new ways of crafting screenshots. I really like what I'm seeing and it's rewarding to see so many people taking the time to craft such images. When work clears up a bit I'll be back in a more active form.
Bethany

Was "cutting out" my Necro from the login screen for a sig actually, and hit upon the idea of creating a "Portal" type effect similar to the ones in Hells Precipice Mission.
Basically cut the Figure out, pasted it onto the UW Screenshot, applied a spotlight effect, masked off an area round the figure and applied Film Grain, Ocean Ripple, Spherize and Glowing Edges, I'm no pro at Photoshop but I'm pleased with the result.

They could at least give him a lump instead of that gaping open space. I hate bad art.

The birds ate it...where is this statue anyway?

Oh, man! I know the BEST place for my monk to get a screenie of her.
It'll look awesome, I'm sure. Pity I don't have photoshop, could someone do it for me or something?
I'll post the unedited version later, when I get it so that someone can at least have a look at it and decide if they want to give it a go.

Hey guys,
Here's my first attempt, drawn from Bethany's guide with a twist of "comic book" style (though I lack the correct font for the chat bubbles :P)

OK, that does it. Don't post a photograph of some model, which you photoshopped so that it looks like a screenshot!
Man, you're good!

I took Bethany's advice and started playing around with different layers and filters and I ended up with this. It kind of reminds me of the Apocalypse now poster. This might be what a Guildwars Movie poster might look like if Francis Ford Coppola had directed it maybe...Ascalon Now...
