I do kind of agree with Caleb Kane. His picutres were worth more than 08 marks in total to begin with. Maybe more of a 14 or 15. but hey, I'm really not a judge! and I dont want Lunamaria to be in the bottom 2!!! but yeah...

It's one thing for marking people with a low score IF YOU HAVE A JUSTIFICATION. I feel at this point, the judges are just doing it to get attention and feed drama, which is both pathetic and dishonest, not to mention morally lacking.
In short, I feel the reasons for putting Beyoncee and Mila at the bottom, at least what was cited by the judges, are both hollow and irrational. If you want this competition to have any sense of fair play, then stop judging with bias towards members from a specific guild (and we all know which guild that is) and judge based on merit, not hollistics.

Jaden's Tip of the Week
The Assignment
The most important part of your weekly evaluations is of course the assignment. These guildlines are handed out at the begining of each week to give you a rough idea of what you need to do. It's how you choose to follow these guildlines that can make or break you. You can have the best picture, but still not get model of the week, let alone see the next assignment.
Creativity is always a plus it seems in the judges books, but stray too far from your objective and it can really cost you. Being unique is great, but always put the assignment first.
Decide what type of shot the judges are looking for. If for example you are dealing with a catalog shoot, make sure to get as much of the garments into the shot. For a specific landscape shot (eg. god statues) make sure they are very noticable in your shots.
Think like a judge. Go over your shot and judge it as they would, be harsh. Go over colors, lighting, flaws and most importantly ask yourself is this what they are looking for.
Remember to keep in mind what the objective of the weeks assigment is when taking your shot. You are also judged by your previous performance, so by winning the weeks assigment you can put a much needed model of the week under your belt. This may allow some leaniancy in future shots and when it comes down to the end you will be judged on your overall performance.
Good luck to the reamaining contestants.

Wow. In all fairness that was a little out of the blue for me, I wasn't expecting the word disastrous to be used to describe my pics. Yes I was playing it safe but I did the assignment in about 20 mins, and i had originally intended to not turn in one at all.
Nice shots Jaden, i think the second one is a bit stiff looking though =P
PS! GRATS ARALA FOR MOTW!
PPS! Geishe..u scare me

Frankly, all of this has made me a bit happy to be kicked out in week one.
Comment levels have been degrading, in my opinion, and this is becoming more of a flame war than a competition, on both sides of the game.
I hoped to see better.
Arala, congratulations on a well deserved MOTW!
I'll be at the party tonight, let's have fun and encourage each other! I hope as many as possible will come.

Photoshoot Assignment 06: The Seven Deadly Sins
Alright! With only seven of you passing to the next round, we couldn't think of anything funner to do than to have you guys portray one of the seven deadly sins.
Envy - For envy, we decided that Szei Ren will portray that sin, Szei you already have green armor, and you have that green aura, and we think you can use that all and create something just filled with Green with Envy. The Mouth of Torment, and Gate of Torment also have some nice green scenery that you can utilize in your shot as well.
Greed - For greed, we want someone with a royal, regal look, so we went with Miss Melly for this sin. We think there are many ways you can achieve a good greed look, but to start you off, we think you should try just wearing something royal and go to the treasure spot "Do Not Touch" in Bahdok Caverns and work with the pile of gold and jewels there. http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Image:D...ok_Caverns.jpg
Gluttony - For gluttony, we want tiny petite Arala Starsong to portray this sin. The most obvious thing is to use the tray of food in the Tihark Orchard mission, but we want you to go a step further... Take some inspiration from Szei's calendar shoot, and try to go for a druken look. Drink enough to get your background shakey, and just work that, use a cup type focus item if you got one as well!
Lust - For lust, we want Lunamaria Cruz to really heat things up, you managed to captured a deep emotion picture with a male model before, so we want you to try and capture a more steamy emotion with not one, but maybe two male models...?
Pride - For pride, we want Lokii Dia, lets face it, monks in Guild Wars have this sense of pride like no other, they will leave parties if they do not get there way. So just try and achieve a snobby look, you might want to try one like in your application picture where your hands we're on your hip and your back was faced on the others.
Sloth - Which leaves Bierflesjes Klauw for sloth, when doing sloth, you want to take everything into consideration. Colors are the key to achieving a good sloth picture, black, white, greys, just think very monotone. With a good tired, bored pose, you can capture that feel for sloth. The realm of torment areas have some great stale blueish-grey skies that can work for your favor.
Wrath - And finally, there's wrath...firstly, for wrath, we want the person who gets wrath to really pull inspiration from one of Jaden's previous shot where she took a picture in Shenzun Tunnels/Xaquang Skyway where the floor and buildings we're on fire. That picture is very reminiscient of an infamous scene in Final Fantasy VII, and the person who gets wrath, should probably pull inspiration from that as well.
So who gets wrath...
Beyoncee, take responsibility for yourself, you managed to send me TWO emails with your assignment, and if you can do that, I know you can send in a third with your male models name...and if its really acting up, there's no excuse for you not doing it on Guru. You gave the expected reaction we thought you would, and you have shown no change. You broke a rule twice, do you understand that?
Mila, this competition is not about us holding your hand all the way through. You we're sick, that's unfortunate, but you we're not sick last week when you we're in the bottom two, and you weren't sick enough the other day to turn in an assignment. The fact is, whether or not you we're sick, you turned in a bad assignment. You could've turned in the exact same thing and just showed us the front of your top a nd more of your skirt, and you would've fine. I specifically said it in the thread and in your emails to show your armor. You understood the assignment enough to know there were two shots needed, so there is no excuse why you did not properly showcased your armor for your clothed shot.
Only one of you owned up and that's why we decided that the person that would be eliminated is...
http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z...limination.jpg
I wish you everyone good luck on their assignment, and congrats to our eliminee for making it this far.

Mila didn't ask for her hand to be held, she was very calm about the whole being sick all week thing. If you go back and look, it wasn't her complaining about it being unfair, it was the rest of us. I understand that you are trying to run this like the TV show, but please understand that this isn't the show as well. We are all members of this site, and whatever happens, we're all still gonna see each other here on Guru. Oh, how I miss Cycle One.
Anyways, Beyoncee, welcome to the "We're Free, Yay" club. I'm gonna stop following the contest now, I wish all remaining people luck

Nilene. We understand that you're trying to run this like ANTM, but you have to remember, there is no industry here. It's the internet, deal with it.
Mila never asked you to hold her hand, she didn't even say a single bad word about you talking to her like that.
You also didn't judge Beyoncee on her pictures, but on her personality. That's NOT the way you should've done it. All of the judges brought up the pic from last week. Last week is old, it's done, it's over. Stop bringing it back up.
Jaden, your pictures of your "Tip of the week" were plain crap. You do not have a "status" now that you've won TNTM, that's your and Nilene's imagination.
I'm sorry for all the contestants out there, this so-called contest is going downhill with every week.
