Wow! I'm rather surprised by this weeks results! Ty for the kind comments guys. Yep, lots more drama!
Looking at Calluette's post you can see why all the judges chose the princesses for the characters. They were good choices.
~Noanoa; that's what made me panick about the shot, because it was the same lighting & armour as my last shot. =P

lol, I don't need to deal with all this! Finals all this week *sigh*
Ok, lets see, Jaden/Burnout/Perynne, all good advice, i have some disagreements, but for the most part, there good advice to follow! Three P's people, Performance/Personality/Perserverance.
Beyoncee, if you feel so strongly about our decision, then you are more than welcome to quit, you wouldn't be the first person to quit TNTM and I doubt you'll be the last no matter how hard i try to screen the applications. No one is going to beg you to stay, so quit if you want, i dont have the time or patience to deal with it now.
Alright, if anyone else have questions/comments, please forward them my way!

Heres a quick Q. The assignment is Superheroes of Tyria, does it mean tyria as in the world (ie all 3 campaigns) or Tyria as in Prophecies?

I am no LadyNilene, but Tyria would mean all 3 campaigns... just like Tyria's Next Top Model incorporates all 3 campaign professions.

When I say Tyria, I just use that word for the general term for the world of Guild Wars. So yeah, everywhere and anywhere. But remember, you dont want an ugly background or something busy. You still want to be aware of your settings, and everything around you, and your character.
Nilene - who has just got back from work and now has to stay up an extra three hours to study for trigonometry final which starts in 7 hours, yay...

Now this is a cool idea for an assignment! (Unlike the princess one...sorry).
I can't wait to get to see what you guys all come up with. This assignment kind of forces everyone to use something they might not often end up using in this contest otherwise and undoubtedly the results will be something really cool.
I was just watching Noanoa sort out some of her photos from behind her back and many of them were really different from the norm and cool.

haha I agree the last assignment was ok but this one is definitely 10000x more fun
This was the funnest one so far imo, I just sent mine in about an hour ago. Right after I sent it in Mango said something in guild chat about the judges being angry over skill animations and now I'm worried about my shot, lol. Other than that I'm very happy with it

Just sent mine in.. well, just gotta wait now I guess. Overally, I think it was pretty tough, maybe even tougher than last one, because now you've got uncontrolable monsters, with battle thingies coming up like target circles ruining shots and stuff like that. I guess everyone is at least a little worried.. I am too.
Btw, maybe Lupin would make a great model too;

No, everyone got it in on time.
But I can already tell this is going to be a tough elimination, as they we're previously, and as they will be from now on that is... well, I wish everyone good luck!

Sorry guys, due to problems with Photobucket, everything will be delayed!
But since we're on it, there's going to little mini contest which the winner will be granted the fifth vote to help determine who will win Tyria's Next Top Model Cycle 2 when it comes down to the final two! (Current Contestants May Not Apply, regardless if you we're eliminated or not) I'll post more about this little mini raffle later so keep an eye out on it if you are interested in being the fifth vote for TNTM Cycle 2.

Photoshoot Assignment 03: Lights, Cameras, Action! - Evaluations
In the words of TNTM Cycle 1 contestant "I Only Protect You", saving the world while maintaining the looks of a top model is no easy task. So for this week, we asked for dynamic action shots, so here are the results...
(There will be no pictures shown due to problems with Photobucket currently, the contestants are more than welcomed to post their pics on their own free will, but I will not until photobucket is up and running again)
Arala Starsong
http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/2...alacropip0.jpg
"Arala's pose is elongated and balanced, as though she's ready to jump into the fray. Her arm is outstretched as though following her target, with her sword held high ready for action. The colours are vibrant, and warming, bringing a sense of action to the scene."
Judge 1: This is such a strong shot. I think its very Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon inspired, it's very nice.
Judge 2: I think it's a good picture, but I don't get that sense of motion, its a dynamic pose, not a dynamic action pose.
Judge 3: I agree with Judge 2, it's a striking pose, but it's not a shot where you're being captured in an action motion.
Beyoncee Knowlez
"I think it's ironic because it looks like I'm trying to cause harm to Lucy Annelise but in reality I'm using a Rez skill. I took the photo on Uncharted Isle, where it seems like corsairs would be - and this reminds me of a corsair like pose."
Judge 1: I like the shot, it looks very climaxing! The picture does show this peak of ferocity.
Judge 2: Your explaination doesn't really tell me why you think its a compelling shot. Again, I really don't feel any movement, any motion.
Judge 3: Yeah, I don't feel motion in this picture either. It's more pose rather than action to me.
Bierflesjes Klauw
http://img161.imageshack.us/img161/4026/tntm3xz7.jpg
"I really really like this shot, it's one of my favorite shots. I think the animation on SoR circles around my character very well and the colors match the armor and background. It looks like she is shooting something out of her spear at someone trying to get away."
Judge 1: I think this is a beautifully done shot, you look like your soaring in the sky, it's looks very ethereal.
Judge 2: Looking at the picture, and reading your explanation, I come to the same conclusion. I think you relied too much on the animations to make your picture striking. For me, the animations are WAY too abundant and really take away from your shot, its way to glitzy for me.
Judge 3: I agree with judge 2 that there is too much animation, but I think it works for the picture rather than against. Vabbian necro armor is so avan garde, so the combination of the couture armor, and the animations just really make this shot a very high art portrait. It almost look like a painting of a goddess. I love it.
Lokii Dia
http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s...a/action28.jpg
"I was surprised while taking practice shots just using attack that I could get this kind of pose. In another different angle this pose really looks awkward and not very realistic, like most attack motions. This pose stood out at me the most. Slightly covering Lokii's mouth, her eyes seem to bore down at your, with ever so slightly glint of vegence. With a hammer, this holy looking monk looks so much more treatening and scary. That is why I believe it's a dynamic shot."
Judge 1: You have one of the strongest faces in this competition. Realisitically speaking, your character's face has the most fashion forward faces. So it's a shame that you're covering it and not showcasing it.
Judge 2: I like the intensity I see in your stare. I'm not sure if I see this as a powerful pose though.
Judge 3: I like the effect of the hammer swing, it kinda casts that feeling of motion, but I have to agree that hiding your face wasn't the best choice to make.
Lunamaria Cruz
http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i2...RayofLight.jpg
"I think this shot is dynamic and compelling because The pose definately has movement and it looks very gracious at the same time too.The rays of light also enhance the movement feeling, showing that the scene isn't definately frozen... plus it it makes the scenery look cleaner and more bright especially since Ascalon after the searing is none of that in theory. The arcane symbol of Thunder also enhances the latter concering the background and makes it definately clear that a spell is being cast without having special effects interfering with the Model. "
Judge 1: It's a pretty shot, but its not exciting enough for me.
Judge 2: I like the gliding movement, all of your limbs in the picture are all in motion. The effects animation wasn't overwhelming either.
Judge 3: The body is in a nice action pose, I just feel that maybe its too safe of a choice. It's nothing spectacular, not very fitting for dynamic.
Mila Fox
http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r...tionpose-1.jpg
"I think that this is a compelling dynamic shot for few different reasons. I think the contrast between my character and the scenery really makes her stand out, she is fending off the "baddies" in a blaze of glory whilst remaining strong and powerful in her posture."
Judge 1: You do look like you're a preying mantis getting ready to lunge at someone.
Judge 2: The lighting on your face is slightly off, it kinda works in a sense of suspense. Like how batman works, he's a pro at having part of his body shaded while walking in the room and being half seen. The picture works, but I just don't think it's your best.
Judge 3: I like how you use the cape in this shot, for once, I think the cape really works for this kind of assignment. I do have to agree and say that this isn't the best we seen from you.
Miss Melly
"She looks strong and intimidating, yet still beautiful in mid-attack. The glowing djinn also provides a beautiful contrast to the dark environment."
Judge 1: This picture really is compelling because of the excitement it has within it. It really does look like a still from a fight scene. Very Indiana Jones female style.
Judge 2: I love this shot, for me, this is the only shot that really tells a story. The background is gorgeous, although dark, I like how you incorporated a baddie in your shot. It really works. I think it was a bad call to have the Diamond Djinn though, between you, it, and the dark background, it really does capture more of the mob then you.
Judge 3: I think having such a tall mob was a poor choice, because of that, you tried to include all of it and really stretched the focus.
Mojave Mango Juice
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y11.../gw700tntm.jpg
"In this shot, Mango is casting (lightning hammer, to be exact), with her beloved Katana and fan. I feel this is a compelling action shot because this shot is very "in-your-face". When I see it I visualize Mango jabbing her sword into the person standing next to the cameraman. It also shows that Mango is not afraid to take her best outfit into the fiery pits of hell (aka the Fissure of Woe )."
Judge 1: You have to watch the angles, you look like you're slouching and completely lost your neck and your arms look a little deformed.
Judge 2: Not good, not bad. I still haven't seen that "it" factor that I've seen in everyone else. You're coasting for me, and I really just need you to step up and show us that you are capable of doing something more above average. Your application pictures we're more original, and its just a disappointment that you're not bringing anything new to the table.
Judge 3: I really think its just a bad choice on the angle and pose. It does make you look like your crouching on your knees rather than in mid air casting. You lost the ornate lengths of your limbs.
Sarah Eleanore
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...ahEcrop998.jpg
"Sarah Eleanore, the savior of the Ascalons, holds off the minotaurs while her people escape. She looks into the eyes of the beast fearless, shooting arrows straight into them. I think I showed the energy of the fight in the picture without ruining the fashion aspect of it."
Judge 1: I don't like the bull being so close, you look like the bull just devoured your arm. and has pieces of your bow sticking out from its skull. It's really awkward for me.
Judge 2: I have to disagree with your statement, you completely shadowed your armor with the dark background, you look amputated, you lost the neck, face is hidden and your pose is so safe, no sense of action motion at all.
Judge 3: I agree, attacking with a bow was a bad choice cause essentially, you're not moving, nor are you creating an illusion of movement.
Szei Ren
http://users.evtek.fi/~jennypa/tntm/003_2.jpg
"There are literally "lights and action" in the shot, and the angle emphasizes the direction of movement making it a very striking picture."
Judge 1: Very stunning shot, one of my favorites, there are a lot of tiny imperfections here and there, the glitches, but all in all, I love the shot. I really do look at this, and think back to Xena and her battle with Callisto on the beach, and you do look like Callisto to some extent.
Judge 2: I think this is the best shot as far as achieving a dynamic action shot. I almost want to say that this is like one of those Final Fantasy special attack moves where you're charging up your weapons and about to unleash raw energy. Good shot all around!
Judge 3: I really like this shot, but as Judge 1 mentioned, there are a lot of tiny imperfections that really add up. I don't like the glitch of your hair and head.
Again, I'm sorry for not being able to post the pictures, photobucket is having some problems after its revamped website. But I do encourage our contestants to post their own pictures if they wish so that everyone may take a look see at them!
As usual, we have our scores and the results will be posted tomorrow as well as your next photoshoot assignment! I wish everyone good luck!
*edit* I tried to post some of the links to pictures that the contestants provided me, so hopefully they still work.
